Simple, aside from the tutorials, tell them to search the forums and not be afraid to ask for help in the rookie channels. If they don't like the skill system, the mechanics, or anything else, they are likely to leave anyways.
Not that new or old myself to this game but honestly I can't see myself wanting to play something not like it for too long again. Should the way this game is currently setup make you not want to stick around, not much else will and adding the changes commonly suggested would imply renaming the game as a whole, since it EVE changed to EVE and Wizards. ---

Eve has been steadily gaining players for years. CCP seems to have this pretty well handled.

Slow and steady is a lot better then fast and whatever-the-word-is. I remember when 3000 logged in was a good day. The game seems to be doing good the way it is. The skill system the way it is right now is fine. I do not need this game to become a second job when it comes to skill point grinding.
And why have more players if it will slow down the game? If every system could support over 800 players and no lag I would not have a problem with more players. Until the system lag goes away I could do without a huge increase in the number of players. I don't know about CCP though. Maybe they like lag and a large player base? ************************************************* I have three characters. One has Cov Ops V along with all the bells and whistles that goes with it. |

It was an ingame event that even hit RL news pages like BBC. so it got some attention for eve. friends asked me to explain what happened. and last but not least some signed up. goal reached.

Rokie chat is nice, excapt fact that it have to many questions and ansvers. Better tutorials is surely neded, but I didt see here much brainstorming about them here. Undesranding to fitting is crucial, but it very hard to find clue for this, except asking players and mayby you get answer. Why every new player didnt get default fitting sets (e.q. 2-3 for frigates/destoyer - rest is on him). In desciption is lot of space to descript differences in them.

You want to help new players: Recommend that they join Eve University. All that corp does is teach fittings, missioning, and pvp
