I have a gallente alt that I just started doing missions with and I am wondergin which ship to use for lvl 3's. A rail gun myrmidon or a blaster fitted brutix?

Blasters aren't exactly great for missions; you want a bit of range to go through them easier. And myrm is very very good for missions, cuz of drones. So my vote says Myrmi.

Myrmidon, or Ishtar. Use Dominix for level 4 missions.

I'd just go straight to the Domi as it is basically a myrm with more slots, a larger drone bay, and LARs and BS can fit in almost all the L3s (and the ones you can't use it in will let you know).

Brutix or Myrmidon, your choice. Railguns either way.
Brutix is better if you prefer direct gun damage with a bit of drone assistance.
Myrmidon is better if you prefer using drones as your primary damage dealers.

You should also have a mixed flight for those occasional battleship rats - one light, two mediums, and two heavies. The extra damage is worth it.

Personally I used either a blaster Brutix or my arty Myrm depending on my mood I liked the Arty on the Myrm because it had great range and I could range/speedtank things.
But since I got my Domi I haven't even undocked my BC Even with large rails I can smash most L3 rats long before they are under my guns and those few who manage to get in close get a flight of lights or mediums depending on what they are.
So train for Domi train for large guns train Sentries (only got T1 so far and i love them then get your tech 2 tank and your golden)
