Rumormongers have no doubt already noticed corporations leaving Electus Matari. This is to confirm the following:
1) Yes, this has indeed happened. Gradient, SoE Roughriders, and Re-Awakened Technologies have left the alliance today. Yes, this obviously is in order to join the Tribal Liberation Force.
2) Yes, while technically away from the alliance, we still consider ourselves members of Electus Matari, and abide by its rules and regulations as far as possible. The ties that bind us together as an alliance are stronger than CONCORD bureaucracy.
3) This move is part of a premeditated campaign with defined goals and duration. We will rejoin the alliance when the goals have been accomplished or the preset duration ends, whichever happens sooner.
4) No, we will of course not explain the details of said campaign in public.
To Electus Matari blues: we will not for the most case actively seek corporation level positive standings for the duration of the campaign, but will rely on NRDS and our concentrating on the Militia targets. Should this pose problems of friendly fire, please contact the CEOs of the corporations; +5 to EM blues will be granted after simple confirmation of mutual standings.
For Electus Matari reds-for-crimes: we still consider you valid targets. You have been warned.
For the Caldari Militia: be adviced that we consider you KOS alongside the Amarr.
For our brothers and sisters in the fight: Let's go blow stuff up.
I hereby declare my oath of loyalty to the Minmatar Republic. I absolutely and wholly renounce all pledges, fidelities, and allegiances to any foreign sovereignties or powers. I swear to support and defend the Minmatar Republic, its people, policies, holdings, and agents, its sovereignty and the integrity of its territory against all enemies and usurpers, foreign and domestic. I will bear arms on behalf of the Minmatar Republic in times of war, and will perform civil service on its behalf in times of peace. I will obey, uphold, and defend its laws and treaties. I will perform work of national importance under governmental, military, or civilian direction as required by the Minmatar Republic in times of emergency. I make this commitment unreservedly, with no mental reservation or purpose of evasion.
With this oath, I affirm and assert my loyalty to the Minmatar Republic. -- Help us defend the Republic; join Gradient today. |

Since you Minmatar are a young race and still getting used to the whole "noble endeavour", "binding agreement" and "loyalty" side of existence, allow me to give you some pointers.
1) The oath of allegiance you made to the Shakorite dictatorship's militia is void as it was preceded by a similar oath to Electus Matari.
2) When in the Shakorite militia you are supposed to shoot your Caldari and Amarrian counterparts so the 'KOS' declaration is sort of moot. No point in waging a war of aggression if you don't act aggressively .. you wouldn't want to stand out among the other treaty violators after all.
Hope that helped a little. The rules of civilized society can be tricky when first starting out.

We are not oath-bound to EM. Nor are we oath-bound to Sanmatar Shakor or the Tribal Liberation Front.

As a diplomat I find that whenever there is a possibility of ambiguity in relationships, it is better to be safe than sorry.

In that case you might want to edit out this part of your initial declaration:
Quote: 2) Yes, while technically away from the alliance, we still consider ourselves members of Electus Matari, and abide by its rules and regulations as far as possible. The ties that bind us together as an alliance are stronger than CONCORD bureaucracy.
With your keen eye towards avoiding ambiguity, surely you can see the conflict I am referring to. Having two masters with what I sincerely hope are different rules and regulations is quite impossible ..
If however Electus Matari has subjected themselves to follow all decrees and laws coming from the Madman of Pator, no edit will be needed .. I consider that very unlikely though hence my attempt to assist you avoid a possible future public relations disaster.
Regards, Veshta Yoshida.

Ms Yoshida you obviously aren't familiar with Electus Matari's charter. They are, and always have been, Republic loyalists. Rather explicitly so.
Granted they where set up during the Midular administration, but that affects their loyalty to the Republic and it's people not one bit. Regards,

Electus Matari is an alliance that exists to serve the Republic. We are members of the EM, because we share its goals, but we are not oath-bound to it.
Similarly, we follow the current government of the Republic, but we are not oath-bound to Sanmatar Shakor as a person, nor obliged to agree with him in everything.
Maybe this is a culturally difficult concept for an Amarr, but that's still how it is.

Yet they are now going to actively participate in the megalomaniac's war of aggression against the Empire .. how does that help anyone but Shakor?
There was peace and ever increasing compassion between us prior to his power play. Perhaps the idea is that if the blood is on enough people's hands no one notices it anymore?
Declaring to abide by laws and to call an organization/nation ones home is an oath of loyalty in every sense just without using but the actual word. The oath you gave to the Minmatar Nation, is presently, an oath to Shakor. That is unless he has surreptitiously reinstated the rightful government and stopped "disappearing" dissenters.
The shame is that the Minmatar Nation was making such strides before it was usurped and turned into the abomination it is today. One can hardly even justify calling it a Republic any more.

Ms. Yoshida.
You do not know our objectives, you do not know how we operate, you do not seem to know or understand our loyalties. You do not know our hearts and minds and I sincerely doubt that you are even able to.
You have proven what you can do in space, and while I and mine don't agree with your ends we can respect your abilities in that area, and no doubt will come to do so more fully in time to come. But here, now, your words highlight your lack of comprehension and, in the end, do not matter.
See you in space.

Intresting development. Its finally nice to see a alliance that has loyalties to one of the Empires, show that they are willing to go the distance to do what is necessary for their faction.
Welcome to the faction wars EM. May you ships be destroyed shiftly.

We would be far from the first. Vigilia Valeria split up at the outbreak of hostilities albeit in a different way; first forming VFOR which you were a part of for a while and then with 1PG coming into the fray themselves. PIE too, although their alliance was for other reasons rather than a true alliance of corporations. I'm sure there are others, though those are the groups that we've historically had direct experience against.

All that is a bit moot now.
Now you are a red star. Nothing more.
And like all red stars, I do not care why you are there. All I know is you have declared for our enemy, the aggressor in this war, a war which we will finish. The momentum of this current push may end it, or it may take another two years. It all depends upon your side, really. We are prepared to go the distance, which your corporations and alliances are not.
Oh, sure, you'll make your token appearances. Rattle sabres, kill ships, blow-through the arena with much-ado, but then you leave. You always do and rely upon sasawong to hold your side in stasis.
We have danced this dance for a long time now, but the Amarr always gain ground and hold it. You gain ground, lose it, and lose more on top of it.
The Minmatar lack the tenacity and discipline this war requires. Why risk the lives of your crews? Just leave now as if you had never come. I will not speak ill of it... "To bring order to chaos, one must bring chaos to its knees."
