Minmatar managed to snag Tier 5 in faction warfare over the weekend. The crash was the result of everyone rushing to cash out, and +5s are a popular item for fast cashout since they're quick and easy to buy. |

Jagga Spikes wrote:was it Tier 5? i checked at Tier 4; +5s were 32k LP and 32mil ISK. even that could half current prices. Tier 5 would be 16k/16mil. that's almost current price of +4. They've had tier 4 for awhile. Getting tier 5 was a new thing. |

You can't hold tier 5. I'd be amazed if you got tier 5 again, in fact. For that matter, I'll go a step further and guarantee that you won't see it again.

The funny thing about major patches is that it renders bots non-functional for awhile. Guess what happened back in May. |

Meh, that was before Aryth revealed what was going on. I was making an accurate speculation on what I knew and observed as we rised to the T5 mark, but after Aryth revealed everything I knew we were going to quickly fall back to T2/T3. I think we juuust lost T3, I'll have to check. Don't really care though, made too much ISK for a character my age to do anything with so I am perfectly content on not having T3/4/5 anymore. Well, that puts you a step ahead of Hans, who was convinced Minmatar could hold out on their own. Pretty delusional, frankly - all you have to do is look at the Caldari vs Gallente warzone to see what the "steady state" of FW is. Grabbing a ton of systems before the patch, plus harder to solo plexes, gave Minmatar an edge, but hardly insurmountable, especially with the latter gone. . |

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the past week BOTH Caldari & Winmatar have had periods of Tier 4. All you need is that small window once a week & you get a huge reduced ISK sink to carry you for the next week to month.
Yes, you are correct; so long as you have enough systems to do it in, you can buy level 4/level 5 in a bunch of systems and jack up your war zone control for temporary gain. Hans seemed convinced that they could hold it, though, whereas to us it was very clear that the writing was on the wall - whereas early in our efforts we barely had to donate, later on we were flying around every 3-4 days or so and shoveling a million LP here and there into iHubs to keep things propped up and let us finish. . |

Aryth is speaking in a broader sense than merely our little FW stunt. . |

Color me impressed. Maybe you're not all completely worthless on your own after all.
e: Jeez, 60 systems and four more marked as "Lost". Its like Amarr just gave up. Although, fweddit=test, and test is busy, so maybe they did. . |
