Edited by: Pantload on 16/12/2009 21:43:57 I am now in love with this thread.
10 of 10.
Somebody say Socialism or Communism or something and we get some more righteous indignation going on. I may even be willing to leave a tip if the show is good enough.
Thanks y'all!
P.S.
Let's just leave the L4 missions alone. The only thing that would make sense as an adjustment to me, is to reduce the amount of T1 item drops in loot.

I havent seen any good righteous indignation in this thread today. It's no longer my favorite thread. It has been trumped by another.
Somebody say something tacky or rile up someone volatile, if you would please. The entertainment level of this has dropped quite a bit.
That is all. As you were.

Imagine a level 4 which involves only 3 enemy assault ship NPCs so fast and smart that it could simply not be completed in a BS. And when you finally kill one it drops enough salvage and loot to replace one third of the current loot and salvage, all in one wreck . Suh-weet! And smart enough so that if someone invades your mission (friend or foe) they target, scramble, and try taking them down as well.
Oh man, I wish .
I hear you, I want the same things.....
Theres an open ended proposal in the assembly hall now- thread called "lvl 4 missions" Post your support that missions need some loving- post your ideas such as this. It would be awesome if some of it happened. Sleeper ai in lvl 4's= win. Ship specific missions sounds good. A little variety never hurt.
OH god! What am I looking at here?! This looks like reasonable, constructive ideas! This has got to stop. Flaming, nagging, snarking, back-biting FTW! Damnit ppl, where is the calamity? Where is the hatred? My appraisal of this thread is now below a 5 of 10 on the Childish Entertainment scale. Booooo!

Edited by: Pantload on 22/12/2009 15:10:12 In response to that last poster, it does not surprise me at all that a motivated player could make billions in a year. What you're not realizing, though, is that you can't possibly have that great of skills especially for using everything you claim to have in less than one year. Part of your boredom probably stems from that and the fact that you must have sat and grinded out missions relentlessly for many, many hours a day for the past year. I know for a fact that its possible to spend a year just on Gunnery or Spaceship command. You still have a LONG way to go yet and your boredom is not the fault of the missioning system.

*edit* P.S. Leave the missions alone other than adjusting T1 meta 0 loot drops.

I have AWU 4 and large artillery specialization to 4 on this character, and it's not even my missioneer...
And?
How many of your other skills were neglected in order to do that? Its only possible to make just so much SP in one year. My guess is you don't have more than about 15-16m SP total and I'd actually wager its lower than that. It's easily possible to have 15-16m and MUCH more just in one skill group, and there are many skill groups. The point being that there is plenty more for you to do and learn.
Missions are not the downfall of Eve. They are just a convenient money source. If you're bored with the game already, that's ok too, but its not the fault of L4 missions.
I'm still voting that we should leave missions alone other than adjusting T1 meta 0 loot drops.
