My nephew wants to play EVE with me, and as I have an innactive account, and have enough money to buy a PLEX, I thought about using it to reactivate the account, so he could play with me. I could create a new account for him, but he is only 8 years old, and if he doesn't want to keep playing, I could keep using the account for other purposes, like hauler or trader. I sent a petition under cancelled and suspended accounts, but I didn't get an answer yet. What you guys think I should do? Create a new petition under another category?
Thanks
Kata

Wait untill it gets answered, it will, but it might take a while because like they have said earlyer, petition queue is quite busy.. But then again I cant really approve of any of this because this is my signature |

I know account sharing is not allowed, but we are talking a bout a 8 year old child who will be sitting at my side on a laptop. Are the rules so strict? I will be the one putting the password!

You are attempting to activate an account FOR a minor, this is allowed afaik in the TOS.
I have an account for my wife, I pay it. it is allowed.

Even if it wasn't allowed, does anyone really care if his 8 year old nephew is using his account?
Anyway, yea don't file another petition, it just ****es off the GMS.

Tks for the support guys.
I'm still waiting, so let's see if I can reactivate the account before next weekend, so that I can play with my nephew. I intend to pass trough the new player experience with him, and help him learn a little of english on the way.

Hrm...does the TOS forbid logging onto a friend's account. He's paying for his. I'm paying for mine, but he might ask me to log onto his account to do something real fast, or I may need something he has, or vice versa?

To answer the question in the op:
When they get to your petition they will activate your acc for 24 hours so that you can apply your plex.
Offtopic: CCP's official stance is that acc sharing is forbidden, however they will not ban users for it. Meaning you can't petition back something your 'friend' stole from you after you gave him the login details.
Hope the kiddie likes it
That is all

Technically, yes, it's forbidden. That's really just to give them more leverage against people who steal accounts and whatnot though. As long as you're not doing anything nefarious you probably have nothing to worry about.

Your best bet is to do it throught the timecode bazaar. If you transfer enough money to a character you have on the closed account and get a seller to send it to that character, then you can access everything through you account manager and do it that way.
Ive done it that way only recently. takes a matter of minutes.

I've reactivated accounts with both timecodes from the timecode bazaar and PLEX's with a 24 hour reactivation by GM. They usually respond to reactivation petitions quite quickly, as you're trying to give them money. They may be backed up by dominion though. Just wait a couple more days, and if they still don't respond send another one.
Oh and 8 year old playing eve? Smartest nephew in the world you got right there.

That's a CYA-rule, troll. CCP doesn't have the slightest interest in preventing someone from creating an account for his 8 year old son/nephew/whatever.
Also OP, give it 4-5 days. That's how long it took them to activate my 2nd account for 1 day so I could properly activate it with a PLEX. -

That. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |
