Awesome! Hopefully the lag when a buddy on the list logs on/off also disappears.
Now we just need a button to manually update that buggy list of who is online/offline!

It seems this issue has a big part of portrait generation lag. When the portrait was already generated, I still get a bit of lag, but when it wasn't, it simply freezes the client for 1-5s. -- Fanfest memories : I looked in your eyes And I found the galaxy Now I'm stuck in eve.

There are been reports of a bug that prevents setting the reinforced timer on a station to anything other than 12:00 (end of downtime).
Will this patch allow for timers to be set (as intended), or is yet another aspect of the SOV mechanic that remains broken (such as attacking SBUs when they are supposed to be invul, or being able to attack the iHUB or TCU before all the SBUs are finished anchoring)?

That's normally because you have some sorta limited access to corp wallet, even if its just to see it. And someone in the corp made a transaction involving it.

I'm a new player, and this is the first major expansion I've witnessed. Are expansions usually so half-finished or is Dominion a special case? It boggles my mind that the primary feature of Dominion, the sov changes, could be so released with so many obvious bugs. It's as if the sov changes were conceived on a napkin, spruced up in a Microsoft Visio flowchart, approved by management, hyped by dev blogs and PR, and finally coded a few weeks before release without any chance to test internally.
If Hilmar PFtursson wants CCP to strive for "excellence" it's going to take a lot more than a cheesy fanfest video, it's going to take some real internal follow-through on feature additions before they get released.
It's still good to see some important issues getting fixed with this patch, but it would've been better if those issues never made it to TQ in the first place.

I am still getting 5+ second lag everytime I enter or exit a grid and when a planet/moon initially comes into view. It looks as though this issue hasn't been addressed. It seems to be experenced by many people with the Ati HD 4800 series graphics card. This issue has let me docked almost all the time since the patch has been released (Luckally I have CEO stuff to do which requires just the chat windows)
It would be nice if this was addressed soon. If CPP needs more details contact me and I'll help as much as I can. (Trying not to be a whiner like all those MOM pilots >.<) Sigerceptors Skill Bonus: 5% reduction in Sig Radius per level |

Its only been brought up a thousand times before but ill bite and mention it again. Nothing even close to eve exists- anywhere. To think that a test server with a few hundred ppl on it are going to expose bugs that occur on the main server with 50 thousand ppl is- optimistic.
Show me an mmorpg that rolls out 2 free updates per year without any bugs whatsoever.
We may not like it- but its to be expected. Most issues are fixed within days, or in this case two weeks. All in all not bad considering.

Unfortunately, it does not seem apparant that the high CPU usage issue when running the client will be addressed in this patch. It's really strange that running the client even with the graphic settings turned down is capable of maxing out a core2duo system with 8GB of memory and a GTX285.

If more people would get on the test server and actually test these changes...
Of course, CCP also needs to put up the FINAL version of the expansion on the test server one or two weeks before actually releasing it WITHOUT CHANGING IT every day and have a call for people to log in and test. These reports will give CCP one to two weeks to fix the most critical bugs, so that when it's released on TQ it isn't such a crapshoot. >_>

I can honestly say that after 5 yrs of playing Eve this is the most untested patch (upgrade) yet.......more lag, removal and revamping of the fleet interface (new one sucks), soverignity that is not working, hella lag everywhere causing loss of ships and no reimbursement, the list continues.......CCP is obviously just money hungry and doesn't listen to any players but the whiners and crying noobs, they hail the 47,000 players but do nothing to accomodate the extra peeps and keep lag down.....more peeps = more infrastructure = more testing and screw the dec 1st deadline if the product is not up to snuff......nuff said

I too have the caps lock bug, and clearing the cache did not fix it.
For those of you not getting it, when I hit caps lock, then hit it again to release it, then type into chat, all characters are capital. Switching to a out of game text editor, typing something, then going back to eve fixes it. Until I accidently hit caps lock again.

Heh,
Tbh, despite the problems and complaints this is one of the more stable upgrades we've been through. Previous ones have tended to be much more liable to simply crash or hang. This one has been quite stable but the content upgrades have been horribly buggy. Its frustrating for everyone, especially if you are one of the unlucky folks that ends up with an unplayable game to to video driver issues.
The most major issue was probably upgrades not despawning which is now fixed. Next they need to fix SBU's. But generally speaking its been possible to play the game right from day 1 of the upgrade. My corp has been PvPing the whole time without any really serious problems - which has not been the case in the past.
When you're debugging software, its the last 5% of bugs that take 95% of the time to fix. Take a chill pill, live with it for a few more weeks and things will get there soon enough.

While i was waiting for the patch to be downloadable, i have seen that a small portion of people who buy 60day time cards are being hit with what seems to be a lag in them getting it, or not getting it at all.
I have sold about 4-5 time cards in the last 2 weeks alone, and i had 2 people complain to me about them not getting it, after they bought it from me.
I have gotten the money and my transaction list even says SOLD. But it has not taken affect on there side and does not show up as them getting 60 days added.
Personally i think CCP should invest time into this as a priority rather then fixing anything else right now. Because frankly i'am going to be scared to wanna get 60 day time cards now if there not even gonna work 50% of the time.... $$$ bLinG $$$ |

Auto patcher for the mac seems to die horribly. I click OK to apply the patch but it doesn't close Eve. cmd-option-escape to force a quit doesn't work, and I have to force a shut down instead.
On the plus side, it didn't corrupt the client...

I have this problem as well since the deployment of Dominion, and I don't even have to leave/enter a grid, its enough if someone else leave/enter the grid where I am to lag me out for several seconds.
One way I found to circumvent the problem is by playing in mapmode, which works fine for afk-hauling or doing simple missions, but doing pvp with my pvp-char is impossible.
If its not fixed before the 24th then I will let the subscription for that account run out.

I have scanned down around 6 systems and only got 1 empty combat anomaly. It looks like somebody overdid despawning but not where it was needed... Of course there's not a lot of data to tell but considering that I had at least 2 anomalies per system (those are the regular 6 systems I scan on daily basis) it looks broken to me.

I want to know clear answer from CCP - are the anomalies supposed to be instantly respawned ? If yes, then they clearly do not.

Yes, works also on XP, but can cause problems with onboard Realtek including external music player hangups and system crash. Unfortunately tested couple of times.

The autopatch corrupted the game client so I had to reinstall.
After that though, The FPS got from about 23 (before) to 3-6 FPS (after). Any ideas how do I fix this?

"A defect that would sometimes keep all anomalies and exploration complexes in a system from despawning has been destroyed with extreme prejudice"
Aren't they then suppose to respawn?

3FPS and 90%+ CPU usage... while sitting in station. I'm beginning to think the only checkbox on the "QC Checklist" is: Does the login screen load?

Really?
What kind of dinosaurs are you folks running the client on? Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds more like you're running the client at the bare minimum system requirements... or possibly below that.
Things were golden for me last night. Two clients windowed at 1400 x 900, Stargate Universe playing in another window and both accounts participating in a POS extraction from w-space. Do I have to be in the more populous regions of k-space to begin to see issues? <-- I'm not making some disguised personal attack here, it's an honest question.

The only problem that im having is that scence the patch, ive had to step the vid down a bit jsut so that i can run it at a reasonable frame rate. Before the Dom patch i was seeing frame rates ni the 50-60 frames and if i were to use the same settings ,..the game woudl stall on undock due to the massive background stuff loaded. all m y settings were on there highest settings in game and now im having to run them at a mid range or lower. At times it still stalls but its not bad,...atleast i got framerate....i dont care about the visual goodies,...a little goodies woudl be nice but the playablility of the game is whats more important. system reqs: ASUS A8V deluxe w/AMD 64 3400 ATI 3850 AGP 4 gig of ram other goodies but not realy important at that point -=+>xXx<+=- fly safe and keep your frame rate up

The Hidden belts still don't respawn after DT, since patch (when our 2 respawned) they are still at the same location mined empty of good ores... Even the friday refill in belts didn't give them anything...
Some official word would be nice on that, because the Dev blog stated, that they would respawn on DT. Do they have to be mined clear now before they respawn ? Is it still just bugged ?

If I consistently got 50 FPS under the 1.0.2 patch, and 3 FPS under 1.0.3, it ain't a problem with the HW - unless the requirements jumped unannounced for a 'Minor' patch. The only way I can see 20 FPS is to be the only thing on grid, with everything possible turned to low or off. If I'm sitting in a station at those settings, doing absolutely nothing for over an hour, I may see 9 FPS and 80%+ CPU usage.

Fleet window its giving me huge lag. Everytime it refreh will freeze my pc for a few seconds and that happens like every 35-40 secs. Minimise will not work once you close fleet window i have no problems. Open fleet window again and lag comes back.
Anything know on this issue lag is bad enouph in 0.0 having fleet window adding on this which is a must on 0.0 ops does not help at all.
