Have you considered or experimented with trying to get all participants to record their part of the conversation locally, and using your own skype recording mainly as a guide track to sync everything up?
I know it requires a (fair) bit of post work, but it will generally kill all transmission quality and mic level issues dead.

Yes, it's a pain in the ass with Skype since in order to do it properly you need specific tools (Skype does some draconian things with its audio). Also, the editing involved with it is prohibitively time consuming. This is why we stopped doing it when there were only two people, it's just... wait what, three thumbs? :)

I mean no offense with this but, the days of the good 'ol podcasts are numbered. Drone Bay, WDA, FW are pretty much dead in the water. Yes i understand podcasting takes up time blah blah. Its been over a month now since the "new" wda sans urban has put out a pod cast that simply put was a 3 parter, and no such luck with the rest of the discussion that was started with the first, DB, has just died, and the same with all the rest. Is it sad, yes, cause those were the things that brought me back to the game and has kept me entertained through my absence of my first account. The only ones that seem to live on for the time being are Podded, but after the short cast they did that even looks to dwindle do to war childe's declining interest. And the few that have popped up such as missions collide, Planet Risk ( which have both been going on a two month shut down) and the new wormhole podcast which the name escape's me, which seems to be heading into the right direction for being a good listen. Will i take the time to listen when they do put one out? of course. But i dont hold my breath much anymore. |

Yeh, I had to resub to WDA iTunes, and now I have ti listed twice in opdcasts. 50,a nd 51 are in the new one. |

yea winterblink changed hosts. Just wanted to correct myself in regards to Planet Risk, was unaware of their break till march. so Im glad to see they are back along with Unknown Eve. Now if we could get Blinky and Urban back together again ;)
