You want to be EVE's first ever Industrial Fridge maker?
You'll make a fortune!
Seriously, if you want to be a manufacturer just choose that particular option at character creation. You'll also get the Frigate skill of your chosen race (I think). I don't think you can start with an industrial ship skill though.

you don't roll chars. Everyone starts out with the same total stat points, but charisma is usally considered to be the most useless stat. Oh, and i need a refrigerated hauler to carry some frozen food in, think you can hook me up? _______________________________________________________

on a sidenote: the chargen system is bugged, if you choose a gunnery type of char you will get a high willpower attribute, and a low perception attribute..
this means that as a gunney person you train gunnery skills a about half the speed of some non gunnery chars... which is utterly stupid beyond belief...
even the paranoid has real enemies...

Really? I always thought it was pretty neat that you could specialize your character based on your play style.

Edited by: Xelios on 14/11/2004 21:47:58 Also a note to the original poster, try to go for a good mix between all the attributes. Memory and Intelligence are by far the most important, many of the most common skills rely on these.
Don't invest too many points in a single area, you'll regret it later. Go for a nice mix between all of them.
edit: Yes that's entirely possible. It doesn't matter what you do at character creation you'll still be able to train any skill you want, what you do at creation will only affect how fast certain skills are learned and what skills you start off with.

you buy skillbooks and learn different levels each skill enhances some aspect of your charater
even the paranoid has real enemies...

Yes you buy skills from the market. You can buy and train any skill in the game, as long as you have the prerequisite skills at the required levels (most skills require you to have some other skills at certain levels before you can start training them). The only thing keeping you from training all of them is the time it takes.

Fresh Meat highly recommend you train all the learning skillz 1st
... you will see more and more marketing which in turn will bring you more players to torture. |

No problem, and like Chucky said take the time to train Learning and the Learning related skills to level 4 as soon as possible. These will raise your attributes which = less time to train a skill. The sooner you get these to level 4 the more benefit they give.
