Repackage and assemble.
Intended game mechanic or lazy programming?
They reprocess to 1 trit, or you can try to sell them on contracts like everyone else.

You can't reprocess the fittings with the rookie ship, and the tritanium takes more time to get.

I think you can not put that probe lanucher to any other ship, as the Zephyr, so it's pointless...

Probably a bug but its not really important. Iris Launchers can only fit on a zephyr so having spares isn't all that useful and you'll get more trit out of five minutes mining than repackaging, assembling and reprocessing for five minutes.

Made me laugh to see people in jita selling stacks of 10 of them for 1mil.
They are pretty useless things, horrible launchers and don't reprocess to anything worth the effort of getting them.

^^This.
Knock yourself out making new probe launchers all you like. Won't do you a bit of good though as they are worthless except to clutter your hangar. The things only work on the Zephyr and are otherwise valueless.

Let's say you have all the time in the world.
Let's say you magically have 10,000 Zephyrs. (How many subs do we have? 50k log on daily, so this is theoretically possible)
Let's say the server/GMs won't kill you for doing this.
Take 10k Zephyrs, assemble, repackage them. You get 1 launcher which can be reprocessed into one tritanium.
You can do this, let's say every 5 seconds. That's 12 times a minute, so 120,000 trit per minute. Multiply this by 60 for an hour, you get 7,200,000 trit an hour. Let's multiply this by a generous 2.5 pricetag of tritanium. It's worth a bit more, but let's go with 2.5. You can get 18,000,000 an hour just doing this.
Essentially making 18m/hr out of thin air. Imagine if you had 50,000 of these. Or 100,000.
Interesting how CCP invented another tritanium fountain.

In order for your theory to work you'd need to get 10,000 people to agree to waste their time doing who knows for how long assembling/repackaging zephyrs for no other reason than to prove your point that it's possible. Good luck getting 10,000 players to do nothing but package/repackage for the next few hours just so they can end up with a couple of extra trits in the hangar.

Seriously, you're better off putting up an argument that 10,000 people mining in Ospreys can produce Lord knows how many billions of trit in a day, thus breaking Eve, because I rather do that then packaging and repackaging a ship.
I was meaning that one person would have the 10,000 Zephyrs. Sorry about not being clear.

You'd still need to set up some kind of sweat shop as one person couldn't do this alone. That or use a bot. But seriously, there are better ways to use a sweat shop or bot.

Actually its quite possible. Look up someone who has bought one on a public contract, check contract history, TADA, all their public contracts. They sure as hell aren't going to get large quantities from private contracts.

You can do this, let's say every 5 seconds.
If you think assembling and repackaging 10k items takes 5 seconds, you have no experience in EvE. If you were to give one of those commands you will then have to wait several minutes for it to complete.

im sure there is at least 1 nerd spending the whole friday getting countless iris launchers to accumulate them 'for pleasure' or even better to TRY to sell them on market for profit
maybe he finds a buyer that would pay 1k ISK for them...

Current contract spamming in Amarr is all about this thing. People trying to sell 20 or 30 of them at a time for 10 mil or so.
I just suicided a Zephyr that didn't even have its Iris launcher fitted, although it was full of cheap skillbooks

Let's not forget you can only have 1000 stacks in your hangar at any one time (or 1000 containers each containing 1000 stacks, but I digress).
So at best you could do this with 1000 ships to create 1000 launchers. Not 10 000.
