PC Gamer UK magazine has started taking votes for this year's Readers Top 100 games. Last year we managed to very nearly get EVE into number 1 position, let's try and get it there this year, and have another year of beating World Of Noobcraft

I decided on Transport Tycoon over either Age of Empires II or Medieval Total War. AoE2 works first time every time over LAN with no fudging around making it IMO the best multiplayer game ever, whilst Medieval is perfect for people like me who like to combine epic set piece battles with empire building
Homeworld comes in at #5 for me just above Max Payne for the cool stech drawing cut-scenes and for it's awesome (for the time) graphics engine which really helped create a unique atmosphere that I feel Eve always strives for and never quite attains

EVE Online - the only game that has managed to convince me to repeatedly pay up for it over and over again.
HL2: Ep 2 - from feeling a little disappointed with HL2, and then annoyed with Ep1 being so short, this totally redeemed the series for me.
Call of duty: United Offensive - such good single player, and then one of the most balanced and engaging multiplayer fps' ever IMO.
Counter-strike - where I started out, still love it, did so much for the genre.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein - Loved it, was younger when I played it, and just loved the tone, aesthetic, story (hey, nothing wrong with it being cheesey if the francise invented it!)

Would vote if they weren't using it as a way to boost memberships to their site, so they can later boast they "Have _____ Memberships!" when over half are unused because of one-time crap like this.
I know most people don't even think of things like this, which either makes me pathetic, or everyone else. But by all means, don't let this post stop you from making an account you'll never use. The worst that can happen is more spam to your email account.

A few weeks ago I might have voted for Eve, but there's no way I could, in all conscience, cast my vote for Dominion in it's present state. I appreciate there's always issues with expansions, but this is ****ing annoying me now.
Huge increase in disconnects, there's actually a thing called 'lag' now......
......Oh and today, it even managed to completely **** up my clone jump  . And yes, I have tried relogging. Twice. And no, it didn't make the blindest bit of difference. I was thoroughly enjoying Apocrypha, but Dominion wouldn't be in my top 500 ATM, let alone my top 5.
Still a hell of a lot better than World of Fail, though.

I still own TA. Fantastic game, but I voted Supreme Commander since it's not only made by the same people, but took all that made TA great and expanded on it a thousand fold. <3

Well, the thing about Portal, imo, is that it was certainly a breath of fresh air with some inventive mechanics, but a large part of that is due to springing from a vast ocean of mediocrity and proving that there were new ideas and some sense of good execution out there still…
…but compared to many of the classics mentioned here and what they did to, in many cases, invent or reform entire genres, it comes up a little short overall.

I think it is unfortunate that you have to vote for 5 game titles.
As Eve Online is pretty much the only game I play, I wanted to leverage my vote by only voting for it (as votes for any other game weaken your Eve Online vote).
I therefore chose some of the worst games of all time for my subsequent votes:

Always had a translation book with me and i would look up every single word on screen. I loved the game.
I understood the plot on my second playthrough 10 yeasrs later.

I wonder if anyone in the thread has mentioned Starsiege: Tribes yet. Possibly the most fun I've had in an online FPS ever - no game comes close to the physics and teamplay this game had.

Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time (Twilight Princess is like #6)
Halo 3 (Any Dust 514 pre-game corps forming up, I'm in. I regularly pwns level 40s and up in Halo, I'm no way a pro, but close enough, and if you ever meet me in a game of swords and I'm sober your defeat is sealed... well unless were in teams or something.)
PS : My last two choices were actually taken at random among my friend heavy collection of PC games I think it was something like Call of Chtuulu : Dark Corners of the Earth and Sim 3.

15 shots to kill someone? Yes, if you miss with 13 of them. I think you are just completely terrible at Battlefield 2. Also, my 2 year old computer (at the time) ran Battlefield 2 just fine on launch day.
