I installed some new hardwire implants today and created a jump clone at one of the NPC locations. It says my Jump clone has no implants?
I thought if you jumped to your jump clone, you would keep all your implants intact and such. Im very confused by it all. If i was ganked going thru a system and decided to jump...i lose all my implants anyway?

Its a bug. Petition it.
Confirming it happened to me and you get your implants refunded, not without a lengthy investigation first. Don't be impatient, you'll get them back, eventually.

The implants are "hardwired" to the physical body. If you jump, only your 'essence' goes.
That's why some people create PvP Jumpclones, so they don't lose expensive implants.
You can still add implants to each of your clones.

Implants don't jump with you when you move to a new clone, if you haven't put implants in your other clone(s) then they won't have any when you transfer to them, the implants will stay with the clone you jumped from.

If the implants are in your head, then they are not in your jump clone.
When you jump to that clone, a new jump clone will be created, that jump clone will have the implants that were in your head, your head will then have the implant that were in your destination jump clone.

I have full set of high grade crystals along with hardwire implants in the lower slots. I like to do missions and if someday I get attacked by the Privateers or some other group in high sec, i want to be able to jump into a clone. i was thinking the jump clone retains the implants and things i have now, but when i created the jumper it said no implants. so maybe im wrong in how im thinking the system works?

When you create a new jump clone, it has no implants at all. To put implants in this new jump clone, you must jump to the new clone, which leaves your current implants in the body you just vacated, and you must install new implants in the body you jumped to.

Jump Clones don't protect your implants while you are using them. They allow you to protect them while you go do something else.
If you want to take a trip to low sec/wormhole space/whatever, jump to your jump clone that doesn't have any implants. You won't get the bonus from those implants until you jump back, but your implants will be safe. If you want, you can install a cheap set of implant to get those bonuses in the mean time. When you are done taking greater risks, you can jump back to the clone that has the expensive implants.
If you want the bonus, you need to take the risk of losing the implants.

As other have said, a jump clone is different to your medical clone. Both can have implants, but you need to find/buy the implants you want for EACH clone. So when you make a jump clone it's blank... kind of like being podded.
Ultimatley you can have different clones for different jobs dotted around EVE.
So no, it's no great surprise that your spanking new jump clone had no implants. You haven't installed any in it yet. Start flashing the cash... or not.

If I understand you correctly OP, you want to jump into a new clone if you get attacked, to save your implants. You can't do that. You can only jump from one clone to another when you're docked. The clone you jump to won't have implants unless you install them, as others have said.
