they've said that the change in price will be the reduction of the clone vat bay from the build cost. So one can figure it out right now. Look at a Ms bpo and check the cost of all the parts minus the clone vat bay.

Well until they rectify the Implants for Shields vs Armor, the Resistance bonus on the Wyvern is nice but not half as great as for the Aeon. On Sisi The Armor tanks ships can get 2 to 3 times the hp that a Shield Tanker can. Some will say hey but shield tanks regen... Sure they do and when you are taking 300k damage from a dd you wont regen that fast enough. And once that shield goes your done no if ands or butts. Armor ships have that regenning buffer tank called a shield.
Anyways The Hel bonus is definitely an issue, but imo i dunno if id rather a EHP bonus or a Combat bonus.
My Beef with the shield tank comes at the fact that 3 titans dd you and your primary tank is completely gone, after that you drop like a fly and thats in a wyvern not a hel, tho the shield tankers can have a pretty decent active tank. It just boils down to give us an implant set that either increases shield regen or raw hp, and if your worried about mission runners abusing it make it only applicable on capital ships.

Sure LK but you can get the same armor EHP spending half as much isk, and without waiting half as long to find the mods.
Who uses Deadspace/Officer Armor mods = Cap Pilots Pretty Exclusively, maybe the odd Faction BS pilot and such. Who Uses Deadspace/Officer Shield mods = High Sec Mission Runners, Plexer's, Cap pilots.

You denying the fact that Shield mods are much much more expensive than armor mods cause of their application in the missioning plexing side of the game? Edit** Hit enter to soon I personally Love the idea of Cap only implants, it would provide some of the needed balancing and avoid the expenses tacked on with being a shield mod that can be used for missioning and plexing.
With CCP expecting most super caps to be Buffer fit shouldnt those buffers be some what balanced? and Also shouldnt the ability to fit said buffers relatively similar not be price prohibitive.

Not at all Ed, im Happy with what CCP is doing, just discussing something that Was brought up and admitted by the dev's; The Implants situation. If the Changes came out tomorrow i would still fly my Wyvern, and enjoy it as i have been for the last few months.
Im also P.sure that LK isnt unhappy with the changes either, Discussing something that has been mentions as something that needs to be looked at by the Team working on it, Is Constructive and Productive we aren't asking for Platinum and rubies, just brainstorming and using constructive criticism produce better ideas.

Well said Apol I revoke my point its been a while since i looked at armor mods. Last i checked they werent that expensive :P Maybe it has to do with Dominion and all the armor tanking supercap pilots wanting mods

Ok and you think that its ok that armor tanks can get their EHP 40-50% more than shield tankers.... Would Making a shield hp Implant completely unbalance the system? Shield Regen plays no factor on the Cap battle field cause it doesnt regen even close to the damage capital ships deal

But needless to say the argument for sup caps is, Shield sis Short Burst Huge active dps tank, armor is about Large buffer and constant repping over time. The same cant be said for Caps and Super caps, As active tanking doesnt really save you from Dreads or titans. regen,boosting. neither matter when your staring at dreads. resistances matter and Raw hp matter, So if an armor tank can get nearly the same resistances and twice or 3 times the raw hp... they are going to be much prefered to shield tanks when it comes to the cap battlefield.
*** Edit*** Its kinda hard to read the last part of your post but im not joking around with you if it felt like that im sorry. My Main MS/SC toon can fly Both Aeons and Wyverns. When i did testing on both i quiet enjoyed the WYvern but when it came to the cap arena the Aeon just survives longer. Once the Wyverns shields are down, it dropped like a fly and that only took 3 titans ddin, which isnt uncommon at all. The aeon on the other hand could take 1 dd to the shields and another 4 to the armor before being into structure. In the end i chose the wyvern cause im vain and i like the way it looks over the aeon.

Im not Mad at all i just find it funny when people critique a ship they don't. Can't or Won't fly. Example A) A person lives in Empire and Run Missions and empire war all day, you cant use a SC/MS cause you live in Space that denies caps.
Example B) 8 MSP toon thats never flown a Cap, let alone a super cap, due to lack of minimum skills required.
Example C) A Player who does not wish to Spend the time acquiring a toon, and fitting and ship at large isk expense.
All of these Players Know nothing of supercaps and how they behave or handle in a fight, or how to improve them.
If they were gonna change the Hulk to something could i make an opinion sure, would i actually know whats best for the ship and miners, maybe, would i portray i know more about mining than a player whos mined his entire eve career no.
What we are saying is How can a thread be productive and constructive if people who know very little to nothing about the ships in question, voice their opinions as best. Do i understand its your right sure, but why if you have no want or need to fly a MS/SC Why have an opinion based on no experience.
Thats just me tho.....
Anyways Can we get an update on dominion 1.1 :D

Proliferate... not really seeing as theres no safe sov to build em anymore... And they will still cost several billion to produce and fit. I agree that it sucks that you can one shot a capital, but then again i think it is needed with dread blobs breaking 120-150 dreads in a fleet, there needs to be a way to kill them quickly....
A MS/SC on its own wont do much cant tackle its slow and cant delegate FB's, Fb's cant kill stuff smaller than a BS very efficiently. Few dreads and a titan and your day can be ruined very quickly. Not to mention sure FB's are alot of dps but a few bombs and no more fb's no more MS/SC DPS....
When you compare caps to super caps you gotta member they are super caps...
Anything can kill anything alone it just a question of time... A frigate can kill a bs if it is fit for speed and dps and the bs scrammed.
Are MS/SC's powerful sure... Are Titans powerful sure are.... Is a 150 dread gang gonna melt either one of them most definitely, How bout 10 MS/SC's... More than likely how bout 40..... maybe depends on the reps and what the gang consists of, nyx's and hels yea, aeons and wyverns maybe not as fast. Put a few bombers in there with the dreads and the MS/SC's don't stand a chance.... even with close to even numbers cause once the fbs are gone they are dead. What im getting at is sure the numbers in the CFFA are interesting they dont directly reflect what will happen on tranq.
Before all it took to 1 volley a cap was like 60 dreads fit for damage... Titans were warped onto grids and immediately off due to the lack of HP and MS/SC's never left the pos, because they were an instant primary and dreads would destroy them, in a minute or less.
Now the tables will turn there will be effective means of countering the dread blob, without having to have a much much greater number of dreads to survive the initial jump in and siege cycle.

Ed is right about size of ships. It is not as simple as just 'click and drag' the to be bigger like a window on the screen.
Glad we Agree on all the above points :) and who wants an ugly badly patterned epeen? no im glad that they said they would consider the size issue, and if they take their time making them look perdy then fine by me.
My Biggest concern is the drop in shields when you jump in or change a gang booster. Today on SiSi i loaded up my wyvern and sat there repping myself for 5 minutes after jumping into fd.... not cool, and if it had been tranq and we'd be hot dropping how would that have been....

It applies like this
so you have x amount of shields, when you jump into a system the fleet bonus of Y is re applied. So your total Shields is X+Y but your Shield Starts at X Not at X+Y. This means that when a shield tanked ship jumps into a system its missing Y percentage of its tank before it even engages in a fight. This also happens when fleet booster changes, Or if you Discon and rejoin the fleet. Armor hit points are Calculated the same but THey start at X+Y when they jump in so no repping is needed

It's been said over and over again. We are NOT getting a turret only nag.
Why? Because minmatar are traditionally split with the weapons? Not every ship follows that, for example the maelstrom. And caps are hardly normal ships, you don't see them speed demoning around like the normal minmatar boats.
I understand the graphical part, but a marauder style bonus has been brought up on many occasions and I don't understand why it wouldn't work. It's a kick in the pants for minmatar capital pirates, it makes no rp sense that minmatar designers would handicap their ships just because "that's how it's always done" and it makes no balance sense that minmatar pilots continually get a the short end of the stick for our capitals.
Different types of tank to train for while every other race can just train straight up from carrier to dread except for realistically only advanced weapon upgrades 5. Very heavy missile skills that many minmatar pilots don't have and a consistently **** dread. Sure it's getting a bit of a fix again, but for YEARS it sucked **** then it was ok for a couple of months till we were told "lawl it looks bad but if you fit a gyro it does more dmg!1!!1!"
Naglafars are the least flown capital for a multitude of VERY good reasons, and just addressing one of the major issues leave plenty untended, and moves pilots in training AWAY from minmatar capitals even if it means going off their chosen path (not like they won't make up the SP on the extra skills they don't have to train anyway.)

Its not gonna happen cause CCP is not redoing the model, and the skin. its been Hashed and Rehashed hundreds of time, it will always be the way it is. i fly a Nag, im not complaining its a wicked dread sure split ammo sucks but im never last on the km, sometimes im very close to first . With the Fixes proposed it will be a wicked dread to fly.
It will NEVER be a Single weapons ship unless you fly crippled, then alonzi.
If you'd kindly paid attention to the Naglfar CHanges thread few months ago you woulda seen them say this over and over and over.

See i dont see the minmattar Argument here Cause Its a lil Bit Longer of a train sure but people will still want to do it. 1400's Plus torps on a phoon sure hurt like hell, or 800 repeaters.
Capital Size Missles hit for large numbers but its delayed damage, i for one was against the gun only Naglfar. I chose Minmattar Cause it was a little longer of a train, and back they they were p.awesome speed demons.
The Niddy Is AMAZING for Triage, and for supporting BS fleets as it can rep better for shields and armor, than a thanny. They Hel Absolutely needs a new bonus i agree, these are Front like assault caps not logistics ships. Will High slot reps be used on SC, ofcourse they will if they pilots are smart. Spider tank is better than No spider tank. Naglfar Its Vertical and by far the coolest model for dreads, split weapons sucks a lil but it gives you the ability to choose damage types for both guns and missles.
I dont know about most minmattar pilots but i fit my short range Tempest with AC and torps.... As well as my Phoon, muninn split weapons, huginn split, loki can have split weapons.
I always liked the idea of giving the hel a Drone ROF bonus that equal'd the nyx damage bonus.

About SC remote reps/shield/energy transfers, they don't have range bonus right?
We'll i find 2 AS launchers adds nicely to kill fast tackle with drones... AFAIK the Range bonus is still planned to be there, I dont think they plan on removing it cause it would make even after combat repping very hard. The Loss if i am correct is just the ability to triage and to clone vat. And yea I have one Pest with utility Highs and One with Missle highs, the RR is nice when you need it, but the 2 Torp launchers with t2 torps adds nice dps aswell, Also find neuts are nice sometimes.
