one of the things that always bugged me is that there is a second derelict station 3AU "northwest" of the planet, and there's no freakin' way to get to it... until system scanning, that is. :D looking forward to that. hope they don't take it out before then. always wanted to go there.

Originally by: flummox been there multiple times. there is a (i believe purposeful) glitch in your readings while in that system. you can guesstimate velocity based off of other objects in space, so i know i'm going the normal speed.
personally, i like the little "easter egg"... 8)
my first trip, i found a random corpse... 8)
also, there is at least one derelict station to check out. but, yes. other than that, nothing "eve-like" to do there.
there is "some" stuff to do. you just gotta think about it a little...
[HINT] anyone try to F11 BM trick in New Eden?? mwahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa![/HINT]
okay, flummox. out with it. what's this easter egg and what's the deal with doing the F11 trick here? i've now been in warp for several minutes (?!?!) and show no signs of stoping... this your easter egg? a warp trip that lasts several hours?

From Backstory:
Quote: Then, unexpectedly and seemingly unprovoked, the EVE gate collapsed in an apocalyptic catastrophe of a scale never before witnessed by the human race, ruining the New Eden system in the process. Thousands of small colonies were left in complete isolation to fend for themselves, cut off from the old world. For millennia they endured, clinging to the brink of extinction, and only a handful managed to survive.
Not sure there'd be anything there left to really see. I was there just after Eve went live, and the speedometer was broken then. If I recall, you could warp for a long time but when you aborted your warp and went to warp to the gate back out, it didn't take long to get there. Mobius warping. These devs are truly

When you can use your scanner propperly, head to New Eden and have a look around. It's quite rewarding, especially if your the first person to get there.

This is Etoile Chercheur reporting to you LIVE from the New Eden star system, where we believe it all began thousands of years ago. I've been traveling for hours away from the New Eden star, and I'm now well off the edge of the star map by now, and I must say, it looks exactly the same no matter how far I go. Strange that, really. But I'm determined to reach the coordinates suggested by flummox, just to see if any other idiot was as stubborn as I was and brought a secure container along just to prove it. I'll report again when I run into something out here in the endless void. This is Etoile Chercheur, reporting LIVE from the star system with the big quasidimensional rip bathing everything with it's erie light. Have a safe evening!

after examining the coordinates you get when you first make a bookmark, i've come to the conclusion that the F11 trick in New Eden causes you to warp towards a point that's infinitely far away. the numbers keep changing...
okay, giving up now. back to my ship... been capsule warping for hours. okay, i was really, really bored. and now it's time for bed.
