The rewards and LP points do scale upwards the lower the security of the system, if you ignore things like bounties and loot. So you will get more Loyalty Points and a higher reward for the same mission if it happens in low sec space. The difference is perhaps not enough to warrant taking the risk, but we are giving the pirate agent runners a bone in Shiva by adding in the bounty offers for Navy tags.

One of the problems though, surely, is the issue of spending half an hour at a bookmark location killing waves of ships; I don't know about you, but I tend to have my hands full with the things I am meant to be killing and I do not think I would notice a pirate warping in until they actively attacked... :|

You're doign something wrong, i am usually watching tv, or dvd's or playing other games on my notebook while doing missions / npc hunting. And i always keep an eye on local, just have the channel seperated from the others.
Then again, 13 months 0.0 do that to you ;)
Also setting up intel networks works nice so you know pirates are comming for you, when they're still several jumps out. |
