Edited by: Greyhound Tech on 22/11/2004 09:39:11 This Bounty Offer is Closed. Admin if ya want to Delete it be my guest. After finding out ALL the details have decided that S**t happens and we have learned from it. I'm leaving the rest of the original post intact so know one says we are hiding things.
Let me start of this post by telling you a little story. Well, little might be an overstatement, but this is a TRUE story.
During the morning of the 17th of November round about 06:16 EvE time, our trusty Salesman Digger Dave, saddled up his Mammoth Indy to go and restock the Cap Recharger IIĘs that our Corporation Produces.
He loaded the Secure Containers in to the Mammoth, taking great care to make sure that the passwords where set on these containers. Carefully he loaded the containers in the belly of the huge Mammoth. He then strapped himself into his Pod and launched his Mammoth. Now this is no ordinary Mammoth. It has state of the art toys and has a HUGE cargo hold.
Being the Old Fart that Digger is, and he is a REAL OLD FART, he plotted his way to his destination that was in safe space (0.8) with precision ( as he did so many times before). He takes great care of how he does things, and how he treats other people. A real live Gentleman, in and out of the game.
But, IĘm detracting from the StoryąAs he approached the gate to jump to Yulai, he was targeted by kDaser and Domnhal II. Now normally this would mean nothing, but today was different. Without warning they opened fireąThe Mammoth shook violently. The shields started to buckle. Then the armor started to give wayą.
Digger was frantically trying to get to the gateą.Afterburners was set to full speedą.Damn!!!! How could this be happening? Where the HELL is Concord? We are not at WAR!!! STOP SHOOTING!!!!
But it was too lateąThe next moment the Mammoth blew upą(and this all happened in so called Secure Space). While frantically trying to get out of this killing Zone, he is targeted in his Pod and killed.
In the mean while, these 2 pirates target the secure containers and blow them up. Well, the loot did not blow up with thisą300 million isk worth of Cap Recharger IIĘs are stolen.
Does this make you mad? Yeahą.eventually Concord arrives and kill the 2 pirates, but only after the deed was done. Where is the justice here? HELL I demand justice!!!
How is it that these pirates can get away with this? I can understand that if old Digger was traveling in 0.4 space and below that this can happen, but not in DAMN secure Space!!!
So, I have decided to put a challenge to all Bounty Hunters out thereąI will pay 5 million isk for every Corpse you bring me of these pirates. I will keep on paying it until reparations of 500 million isk is paid to the Old Farts for this loss plus what ever is paid out in bounties.
I there fore commission this bounty. kDaser and Domnhal II, I hope you are reading this. May you get podded out of the gameą
To the Mercs and Bounty hunter out thereą.This is open season on these twoąmake them payąand make them pay dearly for this transgression.
Please Note another post will be coming out soon about a change in the way we are going to sell futher CR2's untill this is resolved.

Walk out onto the street, shoot someone and see how long it takes for cosp to turn up. Concord works the same way, they can punnish but not prevent.
Also hauling around 300mill in stuff with an indy is bad, gankadelic pirates with hauling alts are everywhere. ---------------------------

There is no such thing as secure space if someone is hell bent on killing you.
Just because you could be stood right next to 50 armed police in RL doesn't mean you are impervious to crime. Someone could still shoot you, they'd just get megaowned for their troubles.

I think by the time the report was sent yes they were (CCP killed them) which should be obvious beings kinda hard for a Capsule to fire a Heavy missile. True? Come on people there is money to be made here. thank you

IMO ... this game needs things like this to happen otherwise it's safe ... and safe = boring.
I hate the idea that Concord should turn up in 2 seconds flat ... you have to make it realistic. Give them time to buckle up their boots and put down their cup of space tea etc...
after all, I bet those pirates had been waiting ages to turn Diggity Dave in to dogfood.

Luckily her secure can popped as well so eat dirt pirates.
I strongly advise ANY merchandise transport to be conducted in properly fitted Battleship (good cargo expanders for cargo and good propulsion systems).
This will not be easy to overcome Your Heavy Neutron Blaster II perfectly strikes Serpentis Chief Sentinel, wrecking for 660.4 damage.

My congratulations to those that commited this heist.
Cap 2's have been over priced and this particular seller has been dealt a triple blow.
1. Being shot down and podded in secure space. 2. Losing the cap 2's to pirates 3. (This is thoeretical, but i can hope) The pirates can undercut you and make an absolute killing to cover their losses from this excursion, there by forcing you to lower your sick profits.
I wont be hunting them 5mil or 50mil -

Glad to see people understand? Not! As being a greedy Corp we are not. We are almost always the lowest selling group, we might even go lower than that but then they are bought and resold higher. It is the market how can I control that? But to say that a Market dictated price that has gone out of control is justification to being attacked is insane.
Another thing anyone that knows the history of this corp is that we try our very hard to stay Neutral and fair to all. We have gone out of our way to help people and to call us Greedy is very missplaced.
Yeah I guess we could have done the transport differently but that is not the point. The thing that really bugs me is even if we had some one to protect our Transport we couldn't not in .8. So the Offer is out there. You can rake and rave you want a quick 10 mill bring me their (ingame only) corpse. Cause no matter what this is just a game (which I enjoy) :).
Futher more to commend them is kinda stupid in my book. It was almost cheating what they did. And I did SAY ALMOST CHEATING, not Cheating. But hope that changes with Shiva. Cause like I said even if we had more around there at the time what could we have done attacked the Transport that is taking our stuff? (sure I'm going to get comments on this one.) Will I ever learn. :) ((Please notice HUMOR not anger))

Glad to see people understand? Not! As being a greedy Corp we are not. We are almost always the lowest selling group, we might even go lower than that but then they are bought and resold higher. It is the market how can I control that? But to say that a Market dictated price that has gone out of control is justification to being attacked is insane.

Heh.. I actually witnessed this! Just after I warped to the gate, the sentries went off and three blue squares suddenly became three cargo cans and three pods..
Hats off to MF for a well-planned and coordinated op, and I can't help but laugh at the stupidity of hauling such a vast quantity of wealth in a single, vulnerable Mammoth. Such an attack is so easy to counter, as well:
Use BS to haul the cargo, as suggested already. Use instas for well-traveled routes, and never go afk for such a cargo. For such cargo, if you must haul in an indy, instead of using expanders, use armor and shield hardeners and extenders, etc, so that you can survive the first blast until the Concord gank squad can take out the attackers. NEVER become complacent, and NEVER rely on the security status of a system to keep you safe. Be especially careful when traveling highway system such as Yulai/Kemerk/etc.

If they were in pods by the time your got the ship killed message how in hell did they pod you as the ship killed message is instantaneous when your ship is destroyed. Someone else podded you?
Also I have to disagree with the majority. If I got a T2 BP I would charge the price that people are prepared to pay, not the price of production + a little bit extra. There is no fair in the EVE market.

===== Joshua Foiritain 2004.11.17 20:47:00 ----- Walk out onto the street, shoot someone and see how long it takes for cosp to turn up. Concord works the same way, they can punnish but not prevent.
Also hauling around 300mill in stuff with an indy is bad, gankadelic pirates with hauling alts are everywhere. ===== Resp: Quite true, We live, we learn, sometimes the hard way.
===== Jebidus Skari 2004.11.17 20:48:00 ----- There is no such thing as secure space if someone is hell bent on killing you.
Just because you could be stood right next to 50 armed police in RL doesn't mean you are impervious to crime. Someone could still shoot you, they'd just get megaowned for their troubles. ===== Resp: Quite true
===== Threat 2004.11.17 22:49:00 ----- Edited by: Threat on 17/11/2004 23:07:30 while that sucks you and anyone else with the bpo have been overpriceing these mods since day one. I'm not losing any sleep over it. Perhaps if you showed ANY regard for other EVE players we might feel the same.
They cost 500k ea to make, you charge 10 - 12 mil each. I guess the question is why hasnt someone done it earlier. ===== Resp: We had them lower and found that others had buy orders out to get everything we put out for the next 6 months and were reselling them. So tell me why should we sell them to resellers who will mark up the price for you anyways??? Actually 10-12m per sounds like someone's reselling ours at a fair markup from our 9.5m (some markets we are selling lower) once again...
===== Hell's Hauler 2004.11.17 21:57:00 ----- yeah cap recharger II sellers need all the killing they get, drop the prices and we might actually care, ******* rip off merchants ===== Resp: see answer above.
===== Zarquon Beeblebrox 2004.11.17 22:04:00 ----- LOL i love it! I bow in respect for this pirates. And you sir .. you had it comming. ===== Resp: You'd probably love seeing an old lady tripped and fall in the street.
===== Helplessandlost 2004.11.17 21:59:00 ----- Hmm...perhaps an inside job? ===== Resp: Doubtful, unfortunately we did not attempt any subtrifuge for haulers/sellers. This will change.
===== CLONE 9 2004.11.17 22:16:00 ----- IMO ... this game needs things like this to happen otherwise it's safe ... and safe = boring.
I hate the idea that Concord should turn up in 2 seconds flat ... you have to make it realistic. Give them time to buckle up their boots and put down their cup of space tea etc...
after all, I bet those pirates had been waiting ages to turn Diggity Dave in to dogfood. ===== Resp: Ok, let's make this real then. You get your ship taken by CONCORD, you're thrown in jail for 6 months, and if you show up in high sec again with weapons on your ship you're thrown back in jail for another 6 months. The second time you attack someone your clone is destroyed if it's in high sec space and your're on CONCORD's permanent hunt list.
===== Mishi Bangbang 2004.11.17 23:17:00 ------ True but don't forget this a consumer driven market...
bang ===== Resp: Consumer driven and apparently reseller driven
===== Infinity Ziona - Minmatar - Northern Intelligence 2004.11.18 01:30:00 ----- If they were in pods by the time your got the ship killed message how in hell did they pod you as the ship killed message is instantaneous when your ship is destroyed. Someone else podded you?

Infinity Ziona ===== Resp: Well, it's quite simple if they've already got the missiles flying at you, missiles don't care if the person who shot them hast just lost their ship, the missiles already have their target and they just keep flying to it.
From what I've seen sofar, we've got the some of the lowest prices, we try to play fair, and some don't like that we don't treat them special. Paying 10m to 12m for a CR2, then youre still paying more than our highest price. The real price of the CR2 isn't just in the materials, it's also the dedication of the corp to getting the bpo, the materials and the skills to build these items. You say we are overpriced from the cost, then go and run the missions, work the research agents, build up your Tech 2 skills, gather the items, rent the factories, and listen to the dozens of people who say that your should resell through them and that you're selling too low.
Think it's not fair that you can't get an item for lowest possible price? Just check escrow for an item that someone has picked up in loot, it didn't cost them 1.25m for a frigate hybrid gun...

OMG I can't believe pirates and gankers are CRYING ABOUT PRICES that the peeps they wanna kill are setting for their goods! Don't you knuckleheads see the irony here? "Pleeeease Mr. Businessman, lower your prices for your goods so I can buy them more easily in order to Kill You and Your Other Customers!"
So, pay what we want or go somewhere else. As Elenia says, "no place in space is safe" and I would add, "not even in the market". To the other businessmen and women out there? Don't defend your pricing practices to pirates...if they gripe, raise the prices even more.

Our client wishes to remain unknown, perhaps he is a competitor, perhaps he is sick of the price he has to pay for his cap rechargers. to be honest we dont ask questions, not as policy but due to the fact we don't care enough.

Seems like the whining was from the people who make such an absurd profit on Cap Recharger II sales that this loss is really meaningless for them. I mean you produce ~29 Cap Recharger IIs a day, and probably make 6m in profit on each one. 300m will take you what, a day and a half to recoup?
I would say that the pirates didnt whine about the prices. They went and cut out the middleman (and the producer. literally).

I dont get this ? I tried to blow up a secure can a few days ago, after striking it with about 267000hp with my tachs, I gave up, used my brains, and went sucking on a veldspar rock. Even a small secure takes some time to gank, in wich time the concord killmail should have arrived LONG AGO. (Small secure: 100k hitpoints) wich takes what, 2-3 minutes in cruisers ?
Not to mention sentrys SHOULD have asspawned them back to the stoneage long b4 they got that far. I dont care if they had Dread Guristas Whining Carebear hardener doing 90% resistance.
I smell a sploit here if there r not some hidden stuff/happenings.

Excellent thread; so much better for being posted by the whiny victim.
I won't go so far to say it was deserved for high cap recharger II prices, but it was definitely deserved for transporting them in a hauler.
Oh, and that this was a merc job... awesome

ROFL yep I remember those days buying all the stock for 3-4 mill in Yulai and Nonni and dumping them straight back on the market for 8-9. Almost not worth it now but occasionally still buy for 9-10 and dump back for 12. Oh and and dabbled in Memory implants as well managed to take them up from 19 mill to 33 quite a nice profit there too. Heh Muppets!
Time to start looking for my next market to own. If anyone has any suggestions am quite open to bounce another market stupidly high - amazing what people will pay for.
If anyone has anything they want investments in give me a call as you can imagine my bank balance is rather heathly. So if you're a producer of something rareish and would like to make more of a profit let me know.
Amazing that just one person can make soo much difference and there's you bunch of idiots believing that the markets where too damn high - well if you find people willing to pay 12 mill for 1 cap recharger II and 33 million for a memory implant wtf do you expect.
I say this only now as I'm out of those markets - I think memory's have dropped to under 20 again so maybe time to have a revisit. Suspect ice mining products might be my next investment so don't expect to be running those starbases cheaply

Very true - considering Geid Muchan post. Question how long will this keep going on ? - Maybe until Eve starts putting them in large quantities into the market, much like the advanced learning skills but, another new item will then show up and the same happens. Or when consumers who buy, start shopping around instead of jumping on the first offer... or maybe when everyone just instead of buying.
Interesting thread...

Idiot think about it do you really understand the markets - obviously not. After making a nice bit of cash with a few markets it was an obvious one to expand into.
If you take a moment to look at the mechanics its rather simple even possibly for you. Can almost forget wp and em implants not worth it tbh so that leaves 3. Per implants are given out by naval corps so everyone and his dog who wants to fight npcs does these - not rare. Intel implants given out by quite a few R&D type corps so quite a few people doing those to get/keep or better their standings with R&D agents - a bit rarer due to the nature of science people i.e. not many. Right so that leaves Mem implants. If you look at the corps that do give out these such as Yitri "STORAGE" you'd actually see that most of the corps tend to be courier missions. Most people find them boring so not many people do them which hence makes the implants v rare.
Right understand so far or do I have to slow down for you?
If you then looked at the markets (key ones anyway). Yulai region generally had 3-10 on the market at any one time (depending mostly on what day of the week it was). Jita a few more and Nonni in between. Now if you imagine how much that bunch would come to - a fair amount but not exactly a killer. You shuttle between the regions not only collecting the buy orders you had out for 5 mill less but you buy the entire market across 3 regions and dump a % of them back on the market at quite a few mill higher. People get more implants and put sell orders a few mill lower than yours. Now if you have the balls you buy those as well and dump them straight back on higher than your own. If you have the patience and the cash its actually very easy to strangle a market.
So I suggest the clue you've asked me to find is actually under your fat ass. Sorry I don't usually flame back but I'm actually quite proud of the achievement and don't like those that just don't have the resources to fathom what I've done belittling it.
Anyway you're dragging this off topic. I'd like to see what both groups try and do next if you don't mind.

That would be like trying to corner the Trit Market, Ice products are normal ores found around empire space.
Youre welcome to try though

Maybe OF should stop selling their T2 products to the wide public and concentrate on selling them to trustworthy / allied corporations? Especially since that assault must have been planned with some insider knowledge on what is transported when. Of course this would have quite an impact both on the wallets of OF and the market availability of those goods.

Thought about it? What can you mine ice fields with? Miner I's - nope. Miner II's - nope. Ice Miner's - yep Can they fit on a "normal" ship - nope Can they fit on a mining barge - yep. Is everyone going to buy barges - nope. So only a few people actually ice mining and I bet a great deal of those that do will only mine for their corp/alliance - hmm smells like a rare market to me.
It's one thing to corner a rare market but if you can see it coming first - ooh boy!

I was buying them up and putting them back on higher too. He might not have been the only one, but it doesn't take many when there are so few of any given item on the market. The only reason they've dropped now is that there are a lot more available, so not as easy to keep cheap prices off the market.
Its fairly easy to do on a small scale, and the risk makes it very fun

Hey professor, i am well aware how the concept of reselling works. However since you have reading comprehension problems i ll say it again, presenting the memory implant price rise as your own achievement is moronic to say the least.
Infact you make your own self look much more silly when you actually present the real reason as well as adopt the misconception that lead to this:
Quote: If you take a moment to look at the mechanics its rather simple even possibly for you. Can almost forget wp and em implants not worth it tbh so that leaves 3. This is why memory implant price rose. Supply shortage.
Why was there a supply shortage? because mission spammers don't enjoy courier missions... why did the price drop again? because supply increased... why did it increase?!? because people realised (something you clearly still don't know) that even the Memory Implant corps have military divisions that give you 90% combat missions.
Now you went in a short supply market and made some effortless isk by reselling, well done. However implying that you were the driving force behind the memory implant rise is idiotic.

Been there? Tried it? idiot. Yes it was in short supply but would the price have risen so much if I hadn't bought out the 3 largest supplier regions at 17-19 mill and dropped them back on at 22-24. And then obviously it wasn't just me (hats off to Toran). Then a week to 10 days later jump from 22-24 to 27-29 and then another 2 weeks to 33.
It's only playing the stock market if I'd have kept trying I'd have been broke as Toran pointed out they started to appear a fair bit more frequently. I also know of a few people that went from corps doing int/wp to mem due to the difference in cash they could make from the implants. Oh and if you tried getting mem implant drops at the time from merc divisions (do yitri have one btw - no!) you'd find the drop was even less before that bug was fixed.
So in the end the high price actually helped more implants reach the market anyway.
Shame the same can't be said for rechargers I expect everyone is probably producing as fast as possible so without an influx of at least a few more bpo's I can't see the price falling anytime soon.
CR3's anyone?

One of the highest ranking gallente agents belongs in the military division of a memory implant dropping corp.
I know so because my 2nd account is a dedicated mission spammer which has worked for this guy for ages. (Standing with his corp = 9.5)
Implant acquisition time for combat missions = at least 100% faster than with courrier missions. Has always been like this.

% wise there are very very few mem implant drops as compared to per and int as previously mentioned and also % wise there is very few merc divisions within memory corps than the others.
Can I suggest we both have valid points (I do concede it wasn't solely me but I do realise how much I did do) and that we leave this to get back on topic of the Old Farts and their mercenary problem. I just happened to explain why Cap recharger II's where at quite an inflated price and yes I did use to buy them in bulk from Digger Dave in Yulai (Have had time to go through my logs) at quite a few million less than I then resold for. I'm still not saying sorry for the idiots that are prepared to buy the rechargers for 12 million though - I'm sorry but it's those people that are hurting the prices not anything else.
So I'll stop bickering with you Juan - sorry and I'll leave the rest of this story to unfold.

*Sigh*
Did you actually read any of the content here before presenting your coherent and well thought out comment?
If the producers of recharger II's supply the markets at 2-4 million, I and like minded individuals will buy them all up and drop them straight back on the market for a vast profit. Yep you could blame me, the Marketeer, but then again why not blame those that are actually willing to buy it at that price.
Interesting question though can the producers not supply bpc's of them?

Qtf.
The consumer has the power to reduce these 1000% profit by not buying it but there's always someone willing to buy at said price. By having more producers it's more difficult to corner the market.
Desperation to sell bring prices down, opportunism brings them up - welcome to EVE.

Greyhound lets fix a few of your errors here. 1 you were not podded your ship was blown up. 2 They were not tanking the sentries or exploiting the 2 caracals fired their missiles and died immediately by the sentry guns but not before 1 salvo hit its target (your indy). 3 WE didn't blow up the secure can with the cap recharger 2s it was one of the items that was destroyed as your indy blew up . You think we'd rather blow up 300 mil worth of loot than loot it for ourselves nah. Empire space already is too secure but just cause their are police around doesn't mean crime doesn't happen. Its no exploit their ships were destroyed right away its only an exploit if they managed to get away without their ships blowing up.

Actually thats my alt not Greyhounds so if she's not reading anymore, she ain't reading anymore I'm not going to bother her with your drivel. I tend to post with an alt because trying to get things through to people on the forums is like shooting dead fish in a very small bucket. It's very easy, you can keep doing it but it seems to get you nowhere.
If you read the amount of *name your own expletive* on these boards you can see why I can't be bothered to post with my main normally. Oh and you can also see why the ceo won't bother to go through 4 pages of it.
So as the boss is away I can say a few bits without getting my behind handed back to me. These are my own comments and not related to any corp opinions.
Can I first say; great job pulled off. I'm not of course happy with it but have to admit it has some style to do that in a .8 esp if it was your intended target so for that I applaud you.
We aren't the old farts for nothing so whilst we try and be courteous to all it doesn't always get reciprocated. It also means that we aren't stupid enough to let it happen again. Just a bit trustworthy for our own good but thats ok digger can take a break from sales for a good long while. I suspect Greyhound will post something somewhere with regards to sales but it won't be on this post.
I'll explain a few things that I think have pretty much been covered but we'll collate them here. Digger was indeed in a hauler in a .8 with cr2 sales but only because a) we are generally nice people who tend to not get much hassle and b) he quite often runs missions with a hauler so just saved time. Like I say we will change that. "Personally" I think we should move using alts - good luck finding them. Yes there was a few mistakes Digger wasn't podded and the can managed to blow as part of the ship but its contents did not.
As a corp we did sell rechargers 2's at a low price and they disappeared within 30 minutes of whichever system we sold them at. It was then noticed that the person(s) were buying them on mass and dropping them back on the market 2-3 times higher and they were still selling. So question if you're making the effort into getting the parts making the stuff and then getting it to the markets you just throw that profit to the self confessed "marketeers". They give no valued added they just cream the fact that they happen to be rare and people will buy for silly prices. If they had transported them from where they were made fair enough but no just buying and dumping them back on the market.
I again personally don't agree with the high prices but ours always sell in less than 30 minutes as we sell below the market average. As we consistantly sell below the average then surely the market should drop but as you can see it doesn't.
I think that covers it for now. Kel
Happy hunting in the future Mercenary Forces you might just want to watch your backs for a while but then you probably do that quite a bit already.

Well said Kel. Pretty tight response.
I will have to agree with Kel on this issue. When I was CEO of the OF, prior to Kel and others joining, we had the cr2's for sale at a price of 1.5M isk. Imagine my surprise when the price rose to 5, 6, then god knows where when people got on the reselling kick. I left OF after a week after getting into sales, and really haven't followed it since until this post.
Good Job to Merc Forces, seems like well planned op. However, as eloquently expressed on numerous occassions, all to do about the bounty. Kel..what happens if there are multiple kills, are there any incentives offered?

Edited by: Kenji Noguchi on 18/11/2004 19:48:47 Personally, I like the fact that the CONCORD police isn't insta-kill and over-protective. That way Security corporations will have something to do, and warriors will have people to escort, guard, etc. besides 0.4 and lower space. There is no such thing as "safe space", and I, as a warrior, am glad it remains this way. (I'm talking out of character, of course)

How much wud it cost to have you continue to hunt these greedy T2 cpr sellers?
I think change can be effected to market T2 cpr prices simply by letting these greedy corps know how we feel about it on a daily basis |

Quote: Maybe OF should stop selling their T2 products to the wide public and concentrate on selling them to trustworthy / allied corporations? Especially since that assault must have been planned with some insider knowledge on what is transported when. Of course this would have quite an impact both on the wallets of OF and the market availability of those goods.
Not a bad idear, wouldn't affect our wallet much but comming back into the market after the price DOES get jacked to 12 mill would make a good payday :)

HEY! another good idea... maybe all CR2 makers/sellers should start jacking the price to 20 mil now to cover our possible losses in the future... might have to have a few convos.
It's true some marketeers have a fair bit of control over prices and good for them, if ya don't want it for the price don't pay it. The REAL control comes from producers of rarities, and I for one (and this is personal opinion) I wouldn't mind sqweezing every red cent out of the people who are paying the price for corps mucking with us :). If you want us to play as nice as we have then ya better play nice with us. I don't know of any other corp that goes as far out of thier way to make sure they keep thier prices lower then market value.
If ya don't like what I have to say then tough.... take out a contract on me, heck I'll even make it easy on the mercs and let them know where I am if they ask. Keep in mind the contract will cost you and wont cost me a thing tho :) so please feel free to waste yer money.

Of course this would have quite an impact both on the wallets of OF and the market availability of those goods.
Not a bad idear, wouldn't affect our wallet much but comming back into the market after the price DOES get jacked to 12 mill would make a good payday :)
Quote: How much wud it cost to have you continue to hunt these greedy T2 cpr sellers? I think change can be effected to market T2 cpr prices simply by letting these greedy corps know how we feel about it on a daily basis
HEY! another good idea... maybe all CR2 makers/sellers should start jacking the price to 20 mil now to cover our possible losses in the future... might have to have a few convos.

Good day sirs.
MF would like to make it clear that the incedent was just another job for us.
Our client wishes to remain unknown, perhaps he is a competitor, perhaps he is sick of the price he has to pay for his cap rechargers. to be honest we dont ask questions, not as policy but due to the fact we don't care enough.
Mercenary Forces - for hire
Since when allows CA to have corps in the alliance that work in this way. Think you should consider there membership within the CA since this could make CA look bad.

You also destroyed UNRELATED to cap2 market trader, in the same system, the same day, my corp mate. You're just a scum, do not hide behind 'anonymous' employer.
And to the people who said they were tanking sentries in cruiser, no, they werent... but 2 Caracals can easily give out 2 full salvos each of heavy missiles before first one hits and sentries respond (this is BIG flaw in design allowing this kind of stunt to work with cheap ships, sentries/concord should respond upon releasing the rockets NOT rockets hitting target as it is now). Once first salvo hits and attackers end instantenously in pods 2nd volley still approaches target finishing the job (amazing the pod can still control them, eh? SECOND FLAW).
Next you know anonymous hauler 2k from you can is picking your crap up....

Sentry guns/concord will respond as soon as weapons are fired. They do not wait until missiles impact, and will attempt to shoot down missiles.
Caracal-ganking works because they do it from very close ranges.

Well, by now the topic is way off. So i'll go straight to the point(s).
1. It says in the new player guide that "secure space" is NOT entirely secure. You CAN get shot down anywhere, any day. And THAT is what EVE is about. The market, the things you produce, are to make it possible. This is not a money making simulator.
You win some, you lose some.
2. About the market prices of CRII's, and all the tech2 stuff in general: when you have monopolies come in to play, things like this happen. The fact is they have no competition, so they can charge whatever they want. The greatest "fool" is one who buys the stuff. In some cases it's necessary, in others it's not. Just don't buy their products!!
Of course, there's also the little feature called "war slot". In EVE if you don't like a corp or what they are doing, you can blow them up until they give in to your demands. |

erm... actually... no... u is wrong. only time it is an exploit is if the attackers dont lose their ships, which they did, so it is not illegal, in anyway, at all, in the slightest little eeeeney weeny bit. so ner.
The indies picking up the loot are salvaging.. which is also not an exploit. so what they did was actually within CCP's rules..
Or were u working on the assumption that falso hope is better than no hope?? In which case:

Got me thinking....
And i thought let's gank that ganker. So I made a suicide Kestrel and podded the hauler ganker.

Involved parties:
Name: Ranja (laid the final blow) Security Status: -1.1 Corporation: Stocking Ship Type: Kestrel Weapon Type: Bloodclaw Light Missile I
To all that got ganked the last few days.. this might help a little, next run is for some1 else pls. My sec status is taking a small dip here.
Enjoy the downtime
Posted this b4. But think this is a little better place. Now to all that whine on here.. don't whine. Just take a suicide kessie and pod them. Clone cost and possible implant loss is a nice thing as payback. And like MF stated I'm not violating any rules.. Me as well lost a Kessie, getting killed by Concord

Clone cost and possible implant loss is a nice thing as payback. And like MF stated I'm not violating any rules.. Me as well lost a Kessie, getting killed by Concord

It is a consumer driven market, id do the same thing if i had such a bp.
However ur lack of community spirit dosnt make u any better than the pirates. While they are robbing all that stuff from u, u are quite literally makin a 10M profit per item, when clearly the holders of bpo's hav been holding back production to increase the price of this quite easily produced item. U control the market not the consumer, so dont say u are forced by the market to sell at these prices.
Sell at these prices by all means, it has been proven that we will pay, its ur stuff, enjoy ur wealth. But dont whine like an idiot cos sum guys shot ur salesguy whow as askin for trouble. __
There, i just contributed nothing to your thread

you rob people by keeping the price of a 500k worth item at 9-12mill. some ppl get ****ed and decide to rob you back.
fair enough. when i travel in my indy i dont have that expensive cargo but nevertheless i flick on my shield hardeners if i see certain people from certain corps around the gates. and having inertia stabilizers can actually make you warp away pretty fast also.
so by being a lazy criminal who thought he was safe from other criminals in central empire you got smacked back to reality by a better prepared criminal who hadnt grown soft by sitting in empire raking in cash they had robbed other ppl on. life sucks better be prepared for it.
and btw Ranja, nice :D

Don't flatter yourself
If you had brains, you would off ganked my indy with the half billion worth of zyd in it.
clone cost 5 mill, implants, in my trade best not to use them
.5 billion haul more than made up for that
plus I have a positive sec status, you have a negative, so in the eyes of concord your the bad guy and i'm the good guy.

Suits you right for sucking people dry of isk for a basic module like a cap recharger II...
You types always assume its perfectly alright to form cartels and whatnot to drive prices into the unknown. Fact of the matter its just as bad as flatout podkilling someone and i think marketmilking is infinitly more devious. Atleast a podkill is straightforward!
You got what was coming to you, now if you get it a hundred times more maybe the score will be even...
WTG MF :P
PS: your bounty sucks!

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

The greatest part about this thread is about how they say Old Farts are 'robbing' people. People are giving them their money... it's just like ransoming, we're not taking their money as thats impossible, not coded into the game. They're just giving it to us.
If you don't want to pay, don't buy it. Cap recharger I's work fine.
Why, what a large scrotal infection you have, Carebear. |

Your flying the wrong Indy
Get yourself a Badger II and get the skills and set up for defense. I've had many attempts made on me and my Badgy in "Secure Space" and always survive till Concord arrives and mops the cosmos with the ebil ones

After these 4 months or so since this thread was started, all tech2 items/ships have dropped in price EXCEPT for the legendary Cap Recharger II. I wonder if it will ever drop to a reasonable price....
