You also have to realize that Valve is very mod friendly. They released the SDK over a week before the actual game and there is a strategy guide just for modding. Mods can easily be brand new games on the same system and for free. The number of games you get for buying HL2 is a lot more than what is listed. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

My only issue has been some stuttering when new sond files are loaded but I've looked on the forums and it's a commo issue that is due to be fixed with a patch.
The common agreement seems to be the autosave is causing it. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

It is Vivendi's fault, they made the packages. It is just like when EVE first came out and the publisher neglected to put on certain packages that an online fee was required.
Besides, what are you complaining about, you have an internet connection for a computer that can run EVE, so HL2 is no problem for you. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |
