1st Steps Academy is recruiting.
A little bit about us:
More than 2 years ago, we started as a new player training corporation, with a CEO with only 10 million in his wallet, and with his biggest ship: an exequror.
Times past, and 1st Steps Academy got more and more war decs, that it was forced to live in the NRDSI 0.0 region of Providence, which was ironically safer than high sec for them. Here we learned PVP, and have started to educate all our new members in this art.
Now we are the founder corporation of Tread Alliance, and have the majority of Fleet Commanders trained from within our ranks.
What we are looking for:
 Pilots Older than 21 Days.
 Pilots wanting to live in 0.0 and low sec space
 Can fly a BC with basic fittings for ratting
 Willing to PVP when the need arises, not just chicken out
 Mature players, we don't want no Drama Queens
 willing to respect NRDSI policy (only kill confirmed pirates, aka ppl who attacked us our our friends first)
 People that are willing to stick together in a specific area of space, namely within 5 jumps of G-5EN (if you're not around us, why be in our corp?)
What we offer:
 A multitude of great 1v1 mentors to choose from
 50+ member corporation with people to help you out for any of the problems you might have
 Often and complex PVP operations, from 0.0 defense, to low sec PVP, to 0.0 offense, ratter popping, missioneer ganking, all well within the NRDSI policy
A strong industry backbone that can provide quality t2 and t1 ships
Many different types of operations, from mining, to PVP, to joint missions or ratting
Daily operations
 Monthly 300+ Blob operations with allies
Weekly POS ops, and offensive fleets
 Lots of targets, almost constant wars
An environment where honor exists, we don't favor ganking noobs, we only kill those who attacked us first, or who are affiliated with such people

Did I mention that after becoming a Fleet Commander for [1SA] and certified for <TREAD> you start being reimbursed 50% of your T2 Hulls lost, and 75% of your modules on T1 losses?
If I were someone who wanted to learn fleet command...I would use 1st Steps Academy...
We offer:
the manpower to serve under you, only for your growth
the tutorials, and information needed to grow from grunt to commander
the support of our Alliance to help you benefit from an incredible reimbursement scheme, which I doubt any non-communistic corporation would be able to offer to its members

Learn to live in lowsec/0.0 with PVP going on all around you. It's fun and interesting, even if you don't actually PVP a lot. Hisec is boring and encourages "AFK play" whereas lowsec/0.0 encourages active and alert play at all times, with a great bunch of friends.

[1sa] is going to implement a new set of requirements, starting May.
Monthly, each member needs to lead an event/fleet, attain a [1SA] Certificate, write a tutorial, or fill a corporate function.
This way, we'll turn into the most active corporation within the alliance.
