Yea right, so you must petition nodes or you must not dare to fight there anyway, right? Where the f**k did you pull that out of, if I may know?
"Planning a large fleet fight? Please let us know" <- sure sounds like its a mandatory thing to do if you want any large-scale PVP. Also, as petitions MUST (and this is a real must) be handed in 24h before the fight occurs (so they can reinforce it during DT), I doubt IT is to blame if they don't anticipate every leave a corp from SPLOT takes.
The blame can be shared equally by the leaving corp, the alliance leadership and communication with allies, as preparations could have helped the defender to have the upper hand. We all know some of the ****tier game mechanics, but most of us learned to play around them. No point in crying now, since we're all sitting in the same boat.

1) If a corp leaves an alliance before downtime, Then all sov at downtime will drop to neutral. So that means you cant ask for a node to be reinforced. SO this means that the attacker has the advantage. According the CCP tho: If you are going to attack a system you must request a node to be reinforced. This doesnt happen. Thus means that the defending entity is forced to act
2) CCP Wanted large fleet battles because it makes more people play. However cant forget the vets who have played this game for years. At which point a large fleet battle isnt fun anymore unless it loads. Sitting for 3 hours watching a blank screen, Then you see damage messages isnt fun.
As people keep pointing you, and you keep failing to understand - everyone had equal notice of sov dropping. Anyone could have been the 'attacker' as you put it - technically there was no defender since sov was neutral.
The fact is that IT took the initiative and got in the system first, and stayed in there. You, on the other hand, waited until the last possible moment to bridge everyone in. And everyone knows how that works out, but you decided to do it anyway, and everyone could have predicted the result.
The mistake was yours, not CCP's or anyone elses. You didn't get in system earlier, you let IT take the initiative. That was your choice, not CCP's.
And anyway, you didn't have to jump in at all. Check your alliance ticker. Why should the NC care what happens in Y-2, it's precisely zero threat to you whoever owns that station. When you combine all these considerations - not getting in system earlier, bridging everyone in at once, knowing how lag favours those already in position, the system being irrelevant to the NC anyway... well, it's shockingly stupid that you decided to bridge in anyway and hope for the best.
Stop crying and learn from your mistakes

It's hard to see how anyone can possibly lose any battle as badly as you guys did. We'll still just be laughing at your failure for years and years.
You mean the way people are laughing at the relevance of your alliance in eve? If this is the case I would be upset as it would be very humiliating to drop down to your level. Maybe I'll go to PR and not undock for 2 months.

It doesn't take CCP to move people into the system during the day, slowly building up your forces like IT did, so you don't have to jump 700 into 650 who are already loaded and in position.
You guys chose the last, and worst, possible moment to leeroy in. And you paid the inevitable price.
Now, kindly take your e-spaceship whines and tell someone who cares, like your internal forums. You were lazy, inept, and you did something you knew would end badly.
Bravo
Don't you get a court-martial or somethin' like that for breaking character?

Normally I ignore just about every word you say, as you are quite possibly the dumbest mother****er on these forums, with windy running a close 2nd, but i'll address you directly this once.
I put the important part in bold print.
Thats all you need to do to win a fight in Dominion.
The defender, timers and all, stands no chance, so long as the attacker is simply IN THE SYSTEM first.
Also, stop acting like IT trickled forces in all day, they jumped in everything they had THE SECOND they discovered Sov was down. There was never a chance to move forces down slowly. The system was packed with 600 screaming ***gots all day.
But according to you, it was our choice to jump in, we made that choice, and it was our fault. I expect that most alliances in EVE will now learn from this, and if the attacker is in the system first you should just pack your **** and go home cause CCP have made sure there is NO WAY your actually getting a chance at defending your system.
All in all butter, your just an inactive bitter ***got who has no real idea what went on, whats going on, or what will happen, since you pay 15 bucks a month for forum posting rights.

That's a lie. IT had no more then 100-200 people in the system most of the day and did not jump in 600 as soon as sov dropped. Keep spinning your excuses for your failed strategy. Hell, even Panda maneged to get in to the system and get some kills. <3 u, Panda.

What you did/didn't do in other grids had little or no effect on the grid with the cynos. The only thing that matters with this bug is the number of ships on the grid where you try to enter the system at.

Is that what they are telling you?
We moved people in early yes but NOT 600. MANY came in just before we killed the goon pos. Even then we had 300... over the next hours is when we hit the high numbers. So you had time to get in forces piece meal, we did have some active gate camps but not 600 plus you are claiming.

Wait really?
Cause thats not what AJ Regard is saying on scrapheap:
Originally by: AJ Regard Saturday 2nd of January: So SOT decided to drop sov in Y-2 during the afternoon, so we ninja onlined a TCU in the system. We proceeded to online some towers in the system, to get staging points.
We jumped everything we had into system continuously, titans/capitals/fleet.
We spend most of the afternoon/early evening reinforcing the hostiles pos's in this system, incapping the guns and taking the station. We bubbled down the gates with large t2, and started up our camp fires.
The initial plan on our part was to try and keep the hostiles from killing our TCU for as long as possible. We didn't need to keep it alive until 03:xx, we needed to buy enough time so we would have time AFTER dt on Sunday to kill the TCU, that way hostile numbers wouldn't be great. The actual time we could defend the TCU for, would ofc depend on ours and hostile numbers, so we would have to see what happened
Pretty sure your either clueless, or full of ****.
Edit: If you want, i can put the rest of that post in to finish off closing down the lies, cause it lists out rough estimates of what you put in the system.

Bad call from the FC crew. Especially since one of us warned them of what will be happening.
Ofc in the past all sides benefitted from the "same" poor perfoming mechanics. In Max campaign we obliterated BoB in M-O when the node crashed and dropped a major portion of the enemy fleet and few of us. Severe lag saved Shrikes Titan in Delve MK1 when we were converging on it in 49-. Lag was horrific 5 jumps out of the target system. Also in the first delve invasion we couldnt load grid in qy6 because BoB had 300 guys on grid with drones + fighters out.
Dont misuderstand me. Im not judging it as un-hounorable tactics , because i know that if a party can exploit a situation or a broken mechanic in his favor he will , blues or reds.
Broken mechanics r not fights though. Dont present them as such.
On the other hand u cant blame the enemy for your mistake. They simply made the most out of a really, really bad call.
Having that said i seriously hope that ccp fix this mess cause its at least a fubar situation. Eves endgame is the fleet fights on a large scale. As the system stands large fleet slugfests of epic proportions and tactical manuevering in the combat zone is just impossible. In other words its impossible to play eves end game. Right? At least one of the 2 fleets cant play :P I wont go as far as to whine "I am quiting eve" , but i will say that this is to say the least comical. Advertize large scale fleet fights and a new expansion that will put pace in tha game , and deliver a broken code that forces the fight into a stand still , meaning that if the defender is on position on the gate with moderate numbers (400 pilots) the game transforms to WWI and we just look each other from our ditches. That static.
So it becomes something like alarm clock "move everything in that system before they do" ops and not that briliant dominion trailer. I hope u dont hold it against us ccp the fact that when we see dominion trailer we laugh ironically.
Happy new year to all blues and reds. And to our enemies : U handle yourselves well with the system as it is right now. Lets see when (if) it is fixed how things will go . Looking forward to non lag fights with you all.
