EVE Asset Manager is a program that will download your characters' assets from the EVE API, then let you view and search them. It is a .NET 2.0 application.
Current features:
- Combines asset data from all your characters and all corporations of which your characters are Directors.
- Search your assets using customizable search fields.
- Save and load sets of search parameters.
- Export assets to CSV.
- Generate Materials, POS Fuel, Ship Loadouts, Assets by Location, and Assets by Category reports in HTML.
New in 1.6.0
- Add support for API proxies (see for example http://api.eve-dev.com/)
- Add containerID query predicate
- Add user option for path to CCP data dump
- Add market pricing of all items from EVE Central, updated on asset query
- Add daily cost estimates to POS Fuel report
- Add options dialog
- Fix error when saved search names differ only in case
- Fix confusion between 32/64-bit versions by setting platform target to x86
- Fix screwiness with hitting enter in dialogs causing the main formĘs query to run
- Fix (?) locationIDs for corporation Office items using bizarre method suggested on forum
Download links, instructions, and other information: http://wiki.heavyduck.com/EveAssetManager
I look forward to comments and suggestions. I am particularly interested in feedback about the market pricing feature and suggestions for making it better.
Note: this program requires that you use your Full API Key. I encourage you to study its behavior with a program such as TCPView to verify that it never sends your API Keys to any website but eve-online.com.

Edited by: JITAAA12345 on 09/01/2010 04:26:11 Edited by: JITAAA12345 on 09/01/2010 04:25:23 And name like "Tritanium" result: Name,Group,Category,Owner,Count,Location,Flag, Container,ContainerID Tritanium,Mineral,Mineral,MyEvilCorpName,1,,CorpASG6,Office,806062633
Now, the question is, armed with this knowledge of the ContainerID, how can I find out which office (system/station) my tritanium is in?
Is their a FAQ somewhere?

Your location field for that item is blank? It is supposed to display the location of the office. I am testing right now with some corp-owned items and it's displaying the location correctly. Are you able to locate that stack of Tritanium in the game? Knowing that would help me figure out what's wrong
And yes, there is a FAQ: http://wiki.heavyduck.com/EveAssetManagerFaq

I released a new version tonight with better pricing. It should also work for people in regions that use ',' as a decimal separator. The original post is updated with the changes. Check it out, let me know what you think, and report problems!

I updated to 1.6.2 and made sure I did an assets update and it seems to be fine now. Im guessing that I updated to 1.6.0 and didnt do an assets pull before doing the query test above. Sry for the noise.
Great Update. Thanks.
Is their any chance of a view menu being added where we could 'check/uncheck' the various colums and have it only show what we were interested in? Especially when exporting to CSV it would certainly cut out some cleanup work.

Yup. Configurable columns is high on my feature priority list.

I had not seen this mentioned but there seems to be a bug with csv exporting. As an example: itemID,characterName, locationID,typeID, 100397244,100397244,"Shar Tegral",60014479, ItemID is being duplicated. Workable manually but I just thought you'd like to know.

Also, if I may be so bold as to suggest columns:
System Region Security Level Unit m3
One of my own uses for the data is to export to excel, link up system, region, sec level, and unit weight to create some useful subtotaling. Especially for handling deliveries pick up more efficiently. Of course being able to quickly "weigh" personal and corporate hangars can be useful for moving logistics as well.
Mind you, being able to do this manually is not hard especially with the rock solid performance of this application. So please don't think any suggestion as a critique.

Yup, I can add those columns. I'm not sure where that will fall on the development timeline, though. I might want to get column customization (hide/show/reorder) done before adding more new ones.
I'll be out of town all weekend, so expect another minor release fixing the CSV export (and possibly other stuff) toward the end of next week.

Edited by: Goncyn on 14/02/2010 20:46:47 Late as usual, but 1.6.3 is out. This fixes the CSV export bug and adds a few minor UI improvements that some of you requested. As always, please report bugs or suggestions by e-mail to wjrogers at gmail.

I'm going to move on to some big fun changes for the next version, then get back to minor improvements after that. Until then, enjoy!

This is awesome.
However, I am having trouble with the POS Fuel Report. Does this report only report fuel currently in a pos control tower or structure? I have pos fuel in a container and a hangar, and the asset manager is not reporting it. It would be even awesomer if the manager reported fuel being stored among all assets.

I'm getting the following exception that completely blocks the app from downloading API data across all acounts.
Heavyduck.utilities.forums.progressexception: background task failed. ---> System.applicationexception: Failed to retrieve asset data for <character> ---> (200) heavyduck.eve.eveapiexception: current security level not high enough. at heavyduck.eve.eveapihelper.<queryapi> b_0(string tempPath) at heavyduck.eve.resources.cachefuleinternal(httpmethod method, string url, stringcachepath, ICachestrategy cachestrategy,IEnumerable '1 parameters, postdownloadaction action)
How do I set the 'security level' for these characters to pull a correct D/L?

You need to use full API key for asset list. -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API.
