at a space station in low sec? I'm hearing from people that it is too big and you just have to log out in it or dock it at a POS somehow, is this correct or not?

Dreadnoughts can dock. Supercarriers/motherships/mothercarriers/superships and titans are the ones that can't dock.

I'm pretty sure a Dread can dock.
I think I read somewhere that only Carriers, Moms, and Titans are too big to dock. |

So what your saying is dreads/carriers can dock but no other cap ship can? This needs to be verified ASAP

Absolutely false. Motherships and titans can dock in a special station in Amamake (it's the top station).

They need to make sure they match their rotation with the station's though, otherwise they'll sc**** the sides of their ship against the top and bottom and I think we all know how that ends.

Scotty, the docking manager, banned mom's and titans from his stations after he got tired of repainting over the sc**** marks on his docking bays.

You can dock any ship by following these steps:
Select station and warp to 0. (That dock option is just to tell you that ships CAN dock at that station.)
Right-click on ship.
Eject from ship.
Enter station with pod.
Parking valets will store ship in proper part of the station. Be sure to tip them or you will find scratches on your doors.
Easy.

I have seen a titan docked inside a station.
OK, is was at the GamesCom in Cologne and it was an account of a GM. Oddly enough, he didnŠt want to give me a screenshot of it. And yes, they hardly fit in there.

So I guess Titans and Supercarriers are dock-blocked? That would make sense given some of their hull-forms....

Fixed. Although, sadly, less so now that CCP nerfed the drone bonus. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

CCP realized the need for super capitals to be able to dock, otherwise everyone would quit playing Eve. So they made one station in Eve where they are allowed to dock: the top station in Amamake.
