..Hey folks, when Hulkageddon comes to town I will be moving my mining operation into 1.0 space. In addition to this safeguard, what is a fit that can tank a suicide gank? I know no fits are gankproof but I would like improve my chances on lasting until Concord comes and saves me. I am not opposed to unfitting my MLUII's to add more survivability to my tank. Thanks a ton folks!

Tanking a suicide gank until Concord arrives is out of question.

If you're not going for maximum cargohold,
damage control II Reinforced Bulkheads II
Magnetic scatering amplifier II Invulnerability field II Invulnerability field II
There's an empty middle slot for a survey scanner or whatever you want to put on there. If you want to put defense rigs on use the medium core defense field extenders.
No high sec rat will ever break this tank. It could even tank a gank attempt. overload the invulnerability field IIs once they start hitting. And if you're with a few other friends try using maintenance bots on each other.

What you are suggesting is nothing but a waste of slots. Truth is that a neither a Hulk nor a Retriever will survive a suicide gank. The reason why Syds was told to use a Retriever is that it's much, much cheaper than the Hulk.
Trying to tanki suiciders in Retriever is futile. Don't bother with a tank, fit for yield. The one and only aspect you need to keep in mind is to minimize cost. That means cheap fit (but keeping some degree of yield) and insurance. Not much a miner can do.

Sry, I meant Corvetor in my first post but Retriever would be even safer.
In a Corvetor you can fit as normal, only Exhumers count for Hulkageddon.
Expanded Cargohold II Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
Medium Shield Extender II
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I Medium Cargohold Optimization I Medium Cargohold Optimization I
5x Warrior II
The small Frigs in highsec wont cut through your shield for ages, enough time to kill them with drones.
But to be completly safe, go with Retriever since there are some prices for Covetors aswell.
