Evenflow - that's your opinion and you're intitled to it - i'm in total agreeance with Major Bash ... i don't have the time to check the dev blogs - if i want to know what's changing and what's not i ask corp-mates/alliance-mates/friends and i check the forums
S'Daria even though this information is useless to me i appreciate your effort to get information out to those who do not have the time to check the dev blogs.

You should be using Secure containers case closed end of argument. Thats what they were introduced into game for. Ore stealing is an actual incredibly profitible way to start out in the world of EVE. 12mil in my first two weeks got me started off quite nice. So plz do us all a favor and quit *****ing about ore theft when it is soley the fault of the person that does not use a secure can if their ore gets stolen

ok we all go to using these ridiculously small containers. will you pay the huge inflation you will suddenly get on all items you need to purchase? because if i have to mine for a couple minutes and haul for 30 minutes nad repeat, i'm going to drastically raise the price on my ores and i'm sure every miner will.

Go ahead inflate your prices no one cares. Someone will always sell for cheaper. Use the cans or get stole from thats all there is to it. I may even bring back some old memories and start stealing. Specifically from everyone that *****es about ore theft. Locator agents and badger 2 for teh win. I will be visiting you all shortly

OK. The risk of NOT using a secure can is that you get your ore stolen. Accepted.
The risk of being an Ore Thief in Empire Space is...absolutely nothing! That's why victims get so annoyed, because the ore thieves are actually protected by Concord, and there is literally NOTHING that they pay or risk for taking the ore. It's the second lowest form of life in EVE - the lowest of the low being Escrow Scammers. Though I bet if we could search through the database there'd be a pretty good correlation between Ore Thieves and Escrow Scammers. Both involve absolutely NO skill at all, and currently have NO punishment.
I'm very disappointed that the flagging is delayed.
If anyone's wondering, I've never been robbed by an Ore Thief (mainly because I haven't mined in months), but spend a lot of time in Empire Systems where they operate. ========================================= * I'm ALLOWED to cheat. I'm a STARSHIP. * ========================================= |

Directed at;
1. Ore Thieves who claim they are "performing a service" by preventing macro miners (yeah right boys, WE beleive you). This is a special subclass of the lowlife mentioned in the earlier post, and they have a level of Hell reserved just for them. 2. Ore Thieves in general 3. CCP for failing to do anything about them
Not directed at J3tt in particular, although I quoted his post...
And yes, it was a rant. I don't make a habit of it, but occasionally you just gotta let it out. ========================================= * I'm ALLOWED to cheat. I'm a STARSHIP. * ========================================= |

Ore can only be stolen if miners allow it - they have the power to prevent it completely.
If miners choose to allow their ore to be stolen they are consenting to it.
Thus they are in no position to moan.
Ore theft is 100% consentual PvP interaction, there is no need to nerf it. ______________________________________________
Never argue with idiots. They will just drag it down to their level, and then beat you through experience. |

One day I will read an original ore thief thread.
Damn, I really need to stop asking too much of CCP.

You know you can have more than 1 in a belt at anyone time, I find that and Iteron 3 with hauler 4 can take 1.5 giant containers worth of gear. What this means is a I spend about an hour in a belt filling 6 cans with a mining rax, then haul 4 times to do a cycle. The best bit is I can go off and do other things as well and not worry about cans gooing poof or anything.
WTS: Male, 37, single, can fly starships, build rockets and dance Salsa. WTB: Female, plays eve, lives near London UK |

Anyone care to put a linky here and point me in the right direction to find the patch log?
Thx!
