Haliflfe 2 has been eating my Eve time. I haven't even posted on the forums for a while. Are you sure you aren't thinking of late on sunday night GMT? The 10k players mark has really only been reached at that time.. and that includes 1.5 months ago. IU don't recall seeing more than 8k players most days other than Sunday. Admittedly, 4k is a little lower than 8k.
I put it downt o other games being released and the fact people were all geared up for Exodus and nobody has any preparation except skill training left to do.

1.5 months ago is about the time I started playing, and probably thousands of others on the 14 day trial.

I'm sure the new games that have been released have an impact on the server stats, single player and new mmorpgs with all the new and exciting Content they have. (imagine that).
Although most of my mates left EVE because CCP have left it too little too late and misinformed us once to often. Half of the promised content has been cut from Shiva and its 6 months overdue, people just get fed up with it all and bail.
Lets hope Exodus is everything we hope for and injects some new life into EVE.

If you look at the News page you will notice that they have actually had new peaks of people online at one time. So dont know where you get your figures from.
All games have cycles of interest

Originally by: Tooshy Well I played WOW in beta and it's a nice game, but I think it could become boring very soon. Unlike Eve wich I'm playing for almost a year now.
The first week or so I thought WoW was really nice but WoW is extremely repetative. Once your done with exploration and levelling there isn't much to do. The PvP is simplistic to say the least.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

Edited by: Lermitte on 20/11/2004 13:36:29 PLayers gone ? Well the stats on Eve-I say different.
Everyday over 9k for the past week, so it aint bad.
During the weekday of course there will be fewer.
Fair point about HL2 though, Ive been playing CS last few days :)

EQ2 went live around 2 weeks ago too, which has probably captured a few players. And if CCPs latest announcement regarding Exodus not having some of the more eagerly awaited features, I'd be guessing a lot more people will be leaving for greener pastures.
Seems to me the new name for this alledged expansion may indeed be very fitting...
"We all know what we are, we're just haggling about the price" - W.C. Fields Rolschau > anyway... because some jerk today... (it is soon 5 am) will turn on the smoke alarm all over the place and then go inside our room to check.. then I will stay up and not get a shock while sleeping and die.... I will be playing eve untill the jerk shows up
