Lately the price for hulk has risen quite a lot.
When will the prices go down?
Does any one know whether there is a black market of some sort for hulks?
Thanks

The prices will go down when demand and supply meet each other at a lower price point pretty much. No idea when that is going to happen though
And err, a black market? Like, whut?

Hulkageddon...
Simply, miners go out, get their Hulk / Retriever / whatever popped and now they are looking to replace them. As such, the market has adjusted in what looks like preparation for this event, as I was looking at the history for Sing Laison last night and it appears that in the past month the prices have gone from ~95mil to ~190mil.
*Hopefully* we'll see prices come back down, but we're also seeing the markets go a bit nuts from the new T2 mfg materials adjustments made in the recent patch / expansion so they may only come down a fraction but it will probably take quite some time to get back to 'normal'. However, I guess it's a good time to be manufacturing hulks or to have some that were made at lower costs.

The reason they went up is from Dominion T2 changes, not some Hulkageddon or whatever.
Based on Jita prices, Hulks are now profitable to make again. They are 180mil but you aren't paying under cost anymore it seems.
People should just expect these T2 prices to be the prices of ships now. If they are higher, they are higher.

Understand what you're saying about the new cost of manufacturing materials, but you don't think that the mass ganking of high-sec miners will cause a noticeable impact on market prices? Personally, if I had the resources / skills to manufacture hulks, I'd be taking advantage of Hulkageddon right now to widen the profit margins (of course, if possible due to rampant market PvP undercutting).

There have been what 50-60 hulks killed... I think you've over estimating it ;)

There is around 10 000 of just Hulks in TQ... Good luck having any effect on mineral flow or Hulk prices

A grizzled miner on his deathbed motioned me to get closer. I complied, stifling my disgust at the stench of decay and Quafe addiction. His rheumy eyes lost focus and then brightened again when he whispered: "Buy T2 ships at the pre-Dominion price if you can find them, stash them wherever you can".
He lay down in exhaustion, eyes closed, and drifted off to sleep. I knew I would never see him alive again. Departing his small room on the mining station, I mentally went through my current assetts and determined how much liquid Isk I could amass in a short amount of time. I tapped into the neocom and looked at contracts and buy orders.......

Last hulkageddon had not effect on Hulk production or prices. The price changes you see are a result of the Dominion material changes and ensuing speculation.

Indeed, I neglected to take note of the volume in the markets, which does appear to outweigh a short-term boon. I was also basing most my assumption on forward-thinking marketeers who I had inferred had been raising prices to deal with upcoming demand. However, upon further reading / study it does appear to be the mineral cost that's driving the prices skyward all over the joint.
Looks like I picked the wrong day to give up snuff... er start learning about invention.
