Well strange.. those battlecruisers kicked ur ass in both F9E and SV5.. Not so useless after all i guess
if by 'kicked ur ass' you mean you lost all your battleships (and a few carriers), didn't kill very much, and allowed us to hold the field then reinforced the ihub... then yeah, you kicked it
basically the battlecruisers were useless but worked from a lag-generation perspective, however when you lost your useful ships (fleet bs) you had to abandon the fight
You obviously missed the first 2 engagements and only arrived with the final AAA blob.

If you mean the first two enagements where it was 600 v 200, then I was there, and kills/losses were about even, and not very great (although we had much fewer ships to lose).
We broke off and called for more numbers. When we got more numbers, we re-engaged and you lost rather horribly. Thats probably because, even though you were still numerically superior, you literally had about 300 crappy BC's padding your fleet
Your interpretation of the first 2 engagements is intersting (and of course wrong - except the bit about how you ran away and called for more numbers). Of course it is true that BC don't put out the same DPS as a BS - but they did give more mobile options and allowed us to get right into your sniper fleet and wipe it out.
One thing I will admit to is that with such a large engagement, and with so much lag it is quite possible - even likely that there are many interpretations of events that occured, and they all have some merit. |

they only work when the numbers are overwhemling, to be fair... today in F9E/SV5 numbers were even, but your BC's performed 'less than optimally'
you may as well zerg the system with 500 T1 cruisers... the effect would be the same, total lag hell death
The thing is this - Providence is operating as an extension of empire - of course its residents are never going to perform optimally in a pvp arena - who would expect that?
However there are many good pvpers amongst the numbers and a few decent FCs - so the fights wil always be fun and I am guesing this is why AAA would rather fight Providence than Goons - its all about the goodfights as someone else said.
There is nothing wrong with an honest zerg if this evens up the contest.
Its up to CCP to sort the servers - we can only play with the conditions provided and its the same for both sides.
