(same engagement from UK perspective)
lesson learnt: single alliance killboards in a battle involving over a dozen alliances give a terrible representation of the fight

Topped at +/- 800 players in local (F9E and SV5).
Was great fun, but I think neither nodes where reinforced.. We're not used to these large fights so it might be normal after Dominion.
Thx all for bringing it on, great end of the weekend !

Call w/e you like it.. -a-/goons lose 1000 ships over 49-, that's more then were used to.
BtW, when we go roaming with 10 we get 40 on us, so "pot and kettle?".. I don't care, it was mighty fun.

We have no interest in HED terrorist scum, we enjoy our neighbors, we respect AAA, they bring good fights with no smack and they actually show up to fight and not cloak, gank, and run at the first sign of resistance.
We poke HED just like they in return poke QBL and D-G, one day UK might learn from them, maybe... well one can hope.

I always bring 500 to fight 200 when looking for ~goodfights~ (translation: grabbing territory)
its a well known fact you're padding your fleets with hundreds of useless battlecruisers from holder alliances, simply to create lag and any negate any chance of a ~goodfight~ so please drop the neighbourly crap - we've all seen the chatlogs
its a valid tactic, sheer numbers can work in Dominion, but we can blob too

Sadly my tz doesn't sit well for most of this and had to work but we all need to start somewhere in this new sov system so far from what I have read and seen good fights keep em coming. A war on 2 fronts is tough but I'm sure you guys can handle it its not like the provi blob is a big threat?

Well strange.. those battlecruisers kicked ur ass in both F9E and SV5.. Not so useless after all i guess
But in the end the lag made us all go home.. lets hope we can have a better fight tonight
Thx for a nice weekend of pew pew and alot of kills.

if by 'kicked ur ass' you mean you lost all your battleships (and a few carriers), didn't kill very much, and allowed us to hold the field then reinforced the ihub... then yeah, you kicked it
basically the battlecruisers were useless but worked from a lag-generation perspective, however when you lost your useful ships (fleet bs) you had to abandon the fight

You obviously missed the first 2 engagements and only arrived with the final AAA blob.

If you mean the first two enagements where it was 600 v 200, then I was there, and kills/losses were about even, and not very great (although we had much fewer ships to lose).
We broke off and called for more numbers. When we got more numbers, we re-engaged and you lost rather horribly. Thats probably because, even though you were still numerically superior, you literally had about 300 crappy BC's padding your fleet ----------

Your interpretation of the first 2 engagements is intersting (and of course wrong - except the bit about how you ran away and called for more numbers). Of course it is true that BC don't put out the same DPS as a BS - but they did give more mobile options and allowed us to get right into your sniper fleet and wipe it out.
One thing I will admit to is that with such a large engagement, and with so much lag it is quite possible - even likely that there are many interpretations of events that occured, and they all have some merit. |

dear god, are you really this clueless
cross check all the killboards, we barely lost anything in F9E (partly thanks to lag), but were massively outnumbered so regrouped in SV5 and batphoned some friends
Then, in the main engagement where most kills happened, we reengaged on the ihub in SV5 where you warped in at 0 and died horribly to our BS fleets. You had the numerical advantage, but you lost pretty much all your battleships and your FC called a retreat
Face facts - your 300 battlecruisers were useless when up against a fleet comprising mostly of battleships, and the results of the main engagement in Sv5 speaks for itself.
Of course, CVA has a more realistic viewpoint on the matter:
Originally by: Guderian3 on scrapheap
we are dead, -a- holds the field.
All those crappy BC's simply padded out the numbers, but once all your BS died your FC knew it was over and called a retreat. But do feel free to carry on about how amazing your 300 BC's are, it makes you look like quite the master strategist

Catch - Against ALL Authorities [.-A-.] are currently fighting wars on two fronts, one in an attempt to free systems that were recently takenáby Libertas Fidelitas [LFA], with help from Curatores Veritatis Alliance [CVA] and a second against GoonSwarm [OHGOD] in 49-U6U.
As of this time F9E-KX, SV5-8N, WD-VTV, and 9KOE-A have been taken by the Providence residents with capital fleets currently deployed by .-A-. and friends as they attempt to free F9E-KX and SV5-8N. With the fighting still in progress it looks possible that .-A-. may be able to recover SV5-8N, though reports indicate that they are taking losses of about five to one at the current time.
More details will be published once they are available.
