Edited by: Sius on 21/11/2004 12:45:37 Well Met,
I am the CEO of WCTI, a bulk low end mineral mining corp. I also represent the Building Alliance. Which is comprised entirely of people living in the same building. The building alliance is made up of The Veldspar Pirates, Temerity Corp, World Class Tritanium Corp and Lathe corp. Most of us have been playing since retail and are experienced with the game but are very alt heavy. As such we need eyes and ears around us to be able to shut down in time to not lose ships. (or not too many of them)
We are seeking to use our rather formidable mining skills (30 ish accounts at one time) to provide a limited station (only facilities nessisary to mine with) as well as a tax revenue to the deep space alliance we join. We are quite willing to pay generously provided those paid really care about protecting their space as opposed to seeking PvP fun anyplace they can find it. Depending on how things go we will put up a rudementary station and mine out the area around it. After this time we would move to another area and relinquish the station to the alliance in question, provided we can retain access to it. At the time of the station being relinquished those claiming will need to actually HOLD it, as it could become a security risk. If the station cannot be maintained we will destroy or dissasemble it before moving on. We can handel NPC's just fine but PvP with several accounts for mining is not really a bright idea.
This is what we need in return. A dilligent and stable alliance which are not comprised of space vikings. In other words people that live mainly in one place and defend it or at least retain an accute awareness of activites in the area even when they are not in control of it, as well as the ability to communicate this intel quickly to us. This would rule out some very excellent Alliances/Corps, such as Evolution, and possibly Curse, as they seem to move about to find fights.
We do need some degree of protection. We can probably handle the spare pirate but anything over about 3 BS and we'll need an assist. Some of our members have lived in deep space before as part of the CFS in the early days after release. As such we are aware that PvP will be a constant part of our lives, as well as losing ships. However with the decreased cost of mining barges relative to BS it is our opinion that we can finally risk mining in deep space and weather losses to PvP while mining.
If this arrangement sounds interesting to your alliance please contact Sius in game and I can get together with you on our vent server to discuss things further.
We do regularly feild 30 mining ships per day. If you put us in a reasonably defended and scouted area and tax us 25% and you will be making quite a lot of money for your alliance. We are also quite willing to minethe basics and use them to build the alliances defensive ships in deep space.

CA space is at least as well defended (probably better) as any other alliances, as Evolution will attest.
We might be able to come to some aggreement, get in touch with me ingame if you would like some discussion.

CA provides 0% protection to their miners and usage of tax minerals is shady at best. If i were in your position, i would approach Xetic or NSA, depending on if you want to live in the north or south. Xif is aware of their surroundings and can hold their space just fine due to bottomless pockets. NSA on the other hand is HIGHLY active with well patroled boarders. Despite the current state of war with B0ob, they may be the best fit for you. I would also be willing to sell you sponsorship in FU for...a billion trit!!(jk)

Capt Hindgrinder it's very bad to do pro xetic propaganda ! :P And tbh I doubt xetic pvpers would stop their ops just to assist some miners in fitting guns on their ships
Galaga (Galaxian - XIF corp) And yes, Olyyy is on our KOS list so she enjoys stirring the "flames" ( 2004.05.25 ) |

Ignore Cpt Hindgrinder, he was kicked from our alliance for corruption and treachery. Inside sources say he is not long for his current alliance either

Lallante only has it partially correct ... anyone who gets booted from CA gets high marks on a lot of people's pages, including mine, regardless of reason (besides, we know who writes the history, don't we? and we don't much care either). As for Hindgrinder's longevity with FU, I'm quite sure Lallante has no clue what he is talking about, which should be obvious.

Skogul I had some respect for your corp before.
I have no problems with any of the corps that have left CA but EGCO. Your corp, by your own admission, operated in empire more or less exclusively. When I contacted you you had 3 members in BSs. I invited you down to 0-W, sorted you out with BMs and indys, and left you to enrichen your corp.
Good one.

Ah, the word of Lallante.
Even if CA COULD defend better than most, they chose not to. Time and again, CA has stated that they care little for their remote mining stations when they are taken. Time and again you hear CA miner complaining about CA fleet outside CA space on raids rather than defending at home. The fact is that for mining, CA is the worst possible location because they have begun so many 0.0 conflicts.
My suggestion is to not believe the hype.

I am not long in CA now, in fact its only two weeks. But during these two weeks I saw major efforts in defending CA territory by constant patrouls between HED-GP and HLW. Any incoming force is reacted upon almost immediatly or at least within an hour.
Mining operations deep in curse space are not even visited by ONE enemy as far as I could notice so far.
In overall I would say CA space is well protected due to the high amount of PvP Corporations. A new mining corporation/alliane would be surely welcome to allow the PvP part focus more on defense and offense.

Today I logged on in a batleship not fitted with any wcs or mwd's one jump from HLW after having been offline for two weeks due to some technical reasons. I proceeded to calmly travel back to the carwash in BKG without any interruptions by CA forces.
Fact is, you can enter ANY piece of deep 0.0 space unhindered and unnoticed, but it would be right to say that an undefended and small mining operation would not have much chance of operating inside any hostile 0.0 space for any duration of time.
NSA is not your best bet either atm, I would suggest going to the emptiest place on the map and be prepared to just move on with all your belongings whenever someone starts showing interest, Either that or work something out with SA, FA or XF. _______________________________________________

With the introduction of pos, there's no need for much mining defense apart from one belt and one moon.
take that into equation. ------------------- :: finite horizon :: killboard ::

Edited by: Gungankllr on 01/12/2004 14:18:18 The guy just wants info on alliances that would like a large group of miners to join them.
All you need to do is post your alliance info and let him make a choice based on that.
All of the other paltry stuff belongs somewhere else, like in the other 300 "you suck" threads that are currently out there.
Anyways, good luck to you finding what you're looking for.

Xetic is the best choice for you. We are also amazing miners we have rich Bistot and Arkanor Fields. Drop us a call www.xetic.org.
We also fight but the fighting is really only about maintaining our place in the hazardous universe. Not about wtfpwning people for the sake of it ( like CA does)
We are also a democracy and unlike many Allainces we listen to our members.
