Simple,
After finaly getting an active war with THEMM, they lasted a good 3 days of fighting.
Soon after their member count began to drop severly, and our contract was fullfilled.
I find it hilarious that every THEMM member in this ignored this fact, but o well.

i have some convos from a few old themm members ill post them up 2morrow when i have time. but i belive that our contract on theMM and the 300 losses in 3 and 1/2 days had somthing to do with it but talk all you want and your ceo went absent as your war with BE was tumbleing out of control.
Originally by: Cabadrin Edited by: Cabadrin on 22/1a1/2004 01:02:24 THEMM is currently under a reorganization into multiple corporations with a new CEO. The actual THEMM corp will continue to exist until the last player leaves its ranks. However, this does not mean that the corporation is dead, nor does it guarantee that we will not reform in the future.
In a great and noble experiment, THEMM set out to be one of the most powerful corporations in the game. At one time, we numbered over 470 members in a single corporation. Our beloved CEO, Taladorn, used her double charisma implants to beguile the EVE populace into compliance. Unfortunately, with success comes enemies. From the very beginning, there were people who wished to curb our enthusiasm. Various members of GODS joined an alt-corp to harass our new players, eventually becoming frustrated and committing too much energy into our demise ... once that was over, we participated in the Northern War, with all the hassles that entails. After a period of 5 wars at once, we were faced with the backstabbing of Nemesis, a decision to leave NORAD, and then more declarations of war. With the resignation of Taladorn, the diaspora of THEMM members across Empire, and a decreasing sense of community, THEMM decided to offer their members the choice to pursue new goals or join new corporations set up to work with THEMM personell.
Please contact Lizardo for more information on the new corporations.
As for many of the older officers and the older members, we've gone our seperate ways for now, moving into different corps with different ideas. Will we return to THEMM? That remains to be seen. Anything is possible, in time.
So don't cry about what happened to the corporation. I would rather we are remembered for what we accomplished: becoming the largest corporation in EVE history, numbering over 470 members at one time. Being part of an alliance, and the work that entails. Our large indutries, supplying the EVE populace. And most importantly, the friendships we all made as part of this corporation.
Good luck to all past, present, and future THEMM.
Please join us in channel "THEMM" to chat and see where the members are today

First, we (BE) had aydeteaux lit up like a christmas tree (over 130 kills in 24 hrs), and had the most pod kills (above 80). It doesnt really matter that their stuff was getting torn up from the inside, becuase before the war "finally" got started, we set-up shop in their home system. They thought they were good, they are now dead. The rest of them are alts used to boost their corp or people that have left.
and as to the "ceo leaving becuase of rl problems" she was but what sped it along was the fact we took out 2 of her alts covert ops frigs both using the frig cloakers.
On a side note, BE is now taking merc jobs-and we get the job done. If you have any questions about our abilities contact frick, jqa, and/or 3rd front. If you want to hire us, please contact fragm, kickass, stetu, or myself.

Edited by: MegaJ on 22/11/2004 11:15:05 Everyone who was in THEMM will argue it collapsed cus of Taladorn leaving. I know this is what made me quit THEMM and was probably the "final blow" so to say for many of the other officers to leave.
Personally I didn't mind all the wars at all and was always out to pick a fight. But a lot of the members had no pvp experience at all and were therefore just being owned. PVP was ignored for too long in THEMM and the few that know how to fight were a too small group to get things going for the rest of the members. So while these wars weren't an issue for me I guess a lot of the members felt differently, since they are/were not pvp players and would just be ganked all the time.
To conclude I think the bashing of most of THEMM members in the wars combined with the entire leadership basically resigning after Taladorn left is what caused the situation there is today. To say it was just either one of these reasons is bull.
Thank you for reading.

Edited by: Karnov on 22/11/2004 13:23:37 The Merchant Marines came to an end due to Taladorn leaving Eve, RL>Eve, nuff said. When Taladorn had left, Femintaki and myself decided to pursue a different course and so did most of the remaining Directors and Officers.
The wars, mainly an annoyance to different members for different reasons but certainly not the reason MM was disbanded.
As for Juduzz and Gods, well I know the truth and have the knowledge of history (and logs), at the end of the day a Gods member went to far and the GM's made him pay, GODS tried two alt corp wars both of which didn't get far. The first time they finally gave up after losing an uninsured Apoc to concord (don't ask me why a 0.0 experienced pilot decided that flying an uninsured Apoc into battle in Empire would be sensible). And if GODS want to deny the alt corp wars then can they exlain why there fighters moved from GODS to the alt corp and back again once they were done fighting ? No thought not.

"JQA & 3rd frnt allaince - a rewarding contract and lots of killing done over 200 JQA and 3rd fnt bs's downed. Contract has now expired "
Fascinating does bs refer to bull****? Yes BE more than likely did kill a few ships whilst they were in JQA space but I seem to recall the vast majority of the time spent there was hiding in safespots or using the now patented BE loadout of 5+ Warp Core Stabs to assist them whilst they ran away.
I have no problem with any corp or individual bragging about how good they are (even if it is a little childish) if what they are saying has even a miniscule amount of truth to it, but unfortunatly in the case of Burn Eden all I have seen is lots of Smack Talk in forums and local and lots of hiding in Safespots.
I don't doubt that many of the pilots of BE have far more skill points than me, saying that I imagine that training running like a girl, smack talk in local and forum warrior to Level V would boost anyones skill points. But one thing I try and avoid at all times is running from a fight even if the opponent I'm facing is twice as skilled and experienced. PvP is about fighting not hiding in a Safespot or dock for days. Lets hope that with the introduction of Shiva and the removal of safespots that there is lots more fighting and lots less hiding - after all is'nt that what we all want?

Hmm, battlecruisers? I don't think they are in the game yet. Not til Exodus is deployed. Maybe getting a bit confused with the Shiva testing kills among the Castor kills.
