I like to see a bit more relaxed enviroment for pvers.. I know if is mainly a pvp game.. If this is a case why have High Sec and Low Sec space..?
My suggestion seems simple and most likely should at some point in the near future be implimented..
I suggest that after spending many boring hours of scanning for Dead space pockets lookout, hideouts, burrow, PHI, so on and so forth they need to have a PRIVATE instance or a locked activation gate.. IE if I spend 5 hours of scanning and finally get thru all the wormholes that I dont want to deal with marked off, that the one dead space pocket with rats in it should be first come first serve.. So the person/fleet/corp gets to it then no one else is allowed to get into it period.. Now there maybe cases of ppl getting into one and saying UTO OOOOO thats to much for me I need to boogy.. Then 30 minutes later it resets... That way others can get to it and finish it out.. I stay in High sec space not to deal with asshats yet I find myself constantly battling that factor while I do missions and said above items all the time.. dealing with ppl ooo I will come and steal your hard earned work while you cant do anything but fire on them while they are flagged and get yourself killed.. In which caese ends up being a pvp situation.. Like I said if I want that I will fly to low sec and enjoy that simple as that.. Same with missions ppl come and pull the same crap all the time.. Whats the point of High sec if nothing is to be done to prevent that how are ppl to advance learn the game to go to low sec and pvp..
So I agian suggest this..
1.. When scanning for Dead space pockets as mention above that once it is found and the gate is activated then LOCK that gate to that player/corp/fleet..
2. If said player cant do said dead space pocket have it reset in 1 hour and dont alow that same player to come back in unless he as already killed one mob in there..
3.. After said gate is found.. Make it so it dont show up on scaning for them.. I hate like hell after spending 30 minutes to center on a target to get at 100 % fly there and it is gone or someone is already doing..
4. Do this with missions too.. cant be that hard to make it a personal gate if your mission giver gave you the nav cords to get there.. To not alow another player not associated with him to get in there and steal is hard work..
In all seriousness if you want a PVE player base make it workable for them if not then dont have pve.. Make it all about the epeen.. I am sure there is a good 50% of the players that want nothng to do with pvp and gladly stay out of low sec because of this.. I cant see it as hard for the DEV do do this.. It would make for some much more of a funner time for ppl that just like to come on and play the game agianst rats and not pc..
Pls tell me if there is no good reason why maybe this cant be put into the game..
Thanks!

This may come as a shock to you but interacting with people is actually part of an online MULTIPLAYER game. If you want everything to be an instance just so you dont have to put up with competition for others why are you even playing?. Clearly eve is not the game for you...

What the previous guy said.
Most people here play Eve because it's different from many other MMORPGs. Eve is harsh, your blown up stuff is dead forever. There is no instance (private space, that only your "party" can access). Those 2 things are the reason why we play Eve over the other games.

I have played this game for years.. Yes its harsh what I like about it. Know you could doay lose eveythign is a thrilling concept.. Trust me this game have evolved to fit more of a pve aspect to .. This lures players too it.. If they wanted to keep it harsh then stuff like newbie skill 100% bonus wouldnt of been put in.. Part of and MMORPG is to listen to the players and what they want .. Not ingnore their ideas.. My idea is keyed for High sec space not low.. Agian if I wanted to be annoyed all the time with pvp why have High sec to begian with.. Only suggesting what would make this game better for ppl that love the pve part of eve..

The closest I'd ever like to come to something like this would be a sort of claim-staking system, where you find a gravimetric site and can pay the locally sovereign government (I'm talking empire space, of course) a claim fee that would flag all the asteroids in the site as yours. If anyone else mines one, they get a criminal flag akin to stealing from your jetcan. Ideally, I'd like to see it balanced out such that the fee is around 30% of the yield, so it's a big hit to your profit to mine it out in (relative) security, and if you somehow lose the site you're out some bucks. ======================

I do love the pve part of eve. And i have been playing for nearly 4 years. Yes the game has evolved to be more friendly to new players and yes the pve content has increased a lot over that time, all good things. That has nothing to do with instancing exploration sites and missions, both of which i run regularly. CCP do listen to good ideas. This idea will not make the game better. Part of what makes eve great is the freedom to do almost anything with no restrictions. No rules telling us where we can and cant go and what we can and cant do.
All your proposing is just a way for people in high sec to have all profits to themselves by shutting out competition from other players. Don't kid yourself its going to help eve. High sec is just SAFER, not a totally safe haven. If you don't want to play against others then there's some very good single player space sims out there.

Edited by: Luminus Mallus on 12/01/2010 15:18:21 I have a proposal in line with this. I actually believe that it's good that people can warp in and disrupt your missions/ looting/ etc, because it makes the game unpredictable It is however true that PVP > PVE... period, so there's absolutely no fun in taking in pants down without a chance just because you're a carebear.
Normally you would ignore, or warp out, especially since the mob is ALWAYS aggroed on you, and to add insult to injury, pirates jump on you or steal your stuff, so you warp out.
What I propose is that, when you unlock a room (or at least when you kill all enemies there), you can bookmark and teleport back. Nothing else changes. Just saves you the time, grief and annoyment of gating back. Sounds acceptable, Dravige? http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1246777
You think you're so tough with your pvp setting in high sec? Let's see how you fare when the carebear warps out and the mob aggroes you!

HAHAHA....
Why are we using JumpGates to travel if we could TELEPORT around? Why are there logistical issues to plan getting fuel to POS's if we could TELEPORT it there? Why do we risk gatecamps/ganking if we could just TELEPORT our goods instead of hauling? Why jetcan mine if we could TELEPORT the ore back to our hangar?
Try and see things for the game as a whole before spewing up an idea that just makes your life simpler.

Usually I've found that even if you drop a bookmark in one of the mission rooms, you still warp back to the outer gate. ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |

Please don't call me stupid when you were the one who posted without noticing 'a plain and simple error' in your own post.

No private instances in Eve. Not ever.
