I recently joined a corp "Free Traders" and lent 8 million to the CEO, gave 300k worth of Veldspar and Scordite (for mining) and the CEO gave me a Osprey to mine with. After I realized how much money I was losing in the corp I decided to leave and take the Osprey with me, thinking everything that I gave to the corp would compensate for the Osprey. The CEO signs on and begins to lecture me about how I'm a thief and how he's gonig to pod me/put bounty on my head and other things. Is there anyway to deal with this or should I just quit the game?

well tbh the ceo is stupid.
Do the following:
1) add ceo to address book 2) find ceo in my buddies and right click and select block. 3) Join a good corp 4) get new corp to declare war on old corp 5) Pod him into the stone age
no need to leave the game over one ceo who is being an ass when they technically owe you going by what you said.

eh, screw him. If he needed 8 mill from you when you joined he probably doesn't have much money to put towards a bounty anyways, and he can't pod you unless you're in 0.0 (Or in his corp still).
Besides, bounties make you mysterious :P

Beautiful situation. Go to 0.0 space and start shooting random people belonging to big corps. Your CEO should wise up and kick you out after he has to go through few hard talks regarding your behaviour. ;s

You could anchor secure cans by astoid fields (just one per field) with a message like "This field property of (Enter name here) CEO of corpname, trespassers will be podkilled on site!". That should help out with his popularity a little.

You can try this experiment: See how many times you need to podkill the CEO before he decides to let you go. Like if you're in a hunting party, you "accidently" lock onto him and in the "confusion" destroy his ship. He doesn't need to know his is the only ship you locked on, no point in bogging him down with excessive details. See how long it takes him to get the hint

How about you talk to the guy and let him know why you take the ship before you do it.
I'm amazed how often people just up and leave and thinks the other parties in MMOs can read their minds.
This in my mind is a legit grudge, you disrespected your former CEO.
After reading the fine print added later on. The refusal to let you leave on the other hand is harassment, then again you can now find and kill stray members of the corporation anywhere till they boot you.
I'm curious how this restraint by assigning roles work, none of the people having left the cult have left me with an option to hold them against their will, ever. Not that I'd ever want to keep someone wanting out around, it just sound slanderous to me.
What we've got here is failure to communicate, some men you just can't reach...

You see I did speak to him about this a few hours ago, that's the reason why I came to post here. I even told him if he gives me back 6 million (not 8 million because I do owe him for the knowledge he gave me) I'll give him back the Osprey, then he went off and said he's gonna pod me till I'm down to 30k skillpoints.

Very true! If i had 100ISK for evrytime that someone had said to me that they were going to declareon Kr0m, pod me, pod my corp, kill my ship, do unmentionables to my corpse, come back with all their corp mates, blah, blah, i'd be a very rich man! So far, none of them have followed through ...
I beleive you can leave your corp even if you have roles, jsut apply to another corp, and if they accept your app you're out. and relax! Don't quit game just because some boner's getting the hump about an Ospray, thats just petty
P.S: i REALLY liked the idea of just podding the guy repeatedly until he lets you go, sounds fun!

You can get around the whole role issue. When joining another player corp you can leave your current corp instantly, no matter what roles you have. Simply find an office of a corporation that you might be interested in joining (Going back to your n00b corp is bad) and apply at one of their offices. As soon as your new CEO accepts your application youll be moved to your new corp and your old CEO cant stop it.

Just to make sure Vincent knew I wasn't serious, I contacted him ingame after I made the posts and told him not to do the suggestions I made; they were strictly for entertainment purposes.
I showed him how to quit the corp, by joining another one. I gave him the list of mineral quantities needed so I can build a Moa for him.
It amazes me how some of these corps place so many demands on their members and offer little in return. Oh well, back to work...
