Make a Sticky about hulkageddon so people will hopefully stop posting new threads.

Originally by: Sister Megarea I remember in Ultima Online, macro mining/foresting/fishing was a mssive problem, causing the identical problems Eve is facing with its' economy. Their solution (whether automated or it was GMs) was that whenever a char was performing the same task over X amount of time with no keyboard input, a chat dialogue would pop up, asking the person a question. If they failed to respond, they would get a 1 hour ban with increasingly lengthy bans for repeat offenses.
There was much gnashing of teeth and tears over it, but it cut down (not solved entirely, mind you) on the problem significantly.
I can't remember what the timer was specifically, but it was long enough that you could definitely go take a leak or make a cup of coffee, if you were dumb enough to leave your char unattended, but significant enough that you couldn't perform X action repeatedly with no input for an hour or so without attracting the attention of GMs/Bots.
Its a good solution and maybe a good start to solving the problem. I think that alot of the macroers that do it for real money profit probably have a few computers running and check on them periodically. So its very difficult to do anything about.
Also because the macro scrits do not usualy affect the game EXE, its very difficult to detect. (for those claiming that EVE has no anti cheat).
i bolded the part that you keep ignoring for some reason.

Originally by: Mr JitaFantastic Hi Boombershot. Looks like you dont know how macro scripts work and I suggest you read up on them.
A macro script (you can download and buy macro express, it is legitamate software for actually doing real tasks)can take both mouse movement, click, and keyboard commands, and then repeats them in a timed cycle that you chose.
Microsoft Excel also comes with macro scripting editor where you can give it keyboard commands.
Regardless, if a macroer wanted he could easily add to the script some keyboard strokes to make it look like he is active.
Hi Captain Obvious.
You probably missed the fact that i indeed said that such a method for macro detection is rough and ineffective, easily avoidable and overall stupid. You took my post as a personal accusation against you for no logical reason.
As far as Excel support for macro goes, I would never build a nuclear reactor with lego pieces, nor should anyone for god sake.
Again, there are indeed undetectable bots in EVE, they are called underpaid chinese farmers. Those you cannot stop.

Regardless I have no clue what youre going on about in your angry tone. Looks like you have alot to prove to the world. Good luck to you.
Dear Captain Obvious.
You missed the "shutdown" button on your computer. That's the reason you keep posting. Please adjust your aim. Thanks.
