LOL... legion is significantly better at close range pulse boat than the zealot or the phantasm... twice as much ehp was greatly needed, though obviously that's still a risky place to be.
Soooo... remind me again about why the legion sucks? It's significantly better than rather universally acknowledged excellent ships, and that sucks for some reason?
The legion's subs are kinda ****ed. The recon one is ridiculous, where you get ******edly low dps due to the fact that it only gets a cap bonus.
Oh, and that guy complaining about the Proteus has absolutely no idea what he's on about.
It's true that the recon one is just stupid... still, that's a long way from making the legion a crap ship, as there's several things it does very very much better.
Still, you're right it is a crying shame that they couldn't manage to make a t3 pilgrim version... close but no cigar... no TD bonus... nerfed if you make it cloaky cloaky... if you try to treat it like a curse, it sucks even more cause there's no range bonus to the neuts. We can hope I guess... A slightly more powerful pilgrim would be awesome.
And the fact that it is quite hard to push out low slots. You get similiar mids to lows.
What do you consider a sufficient number of Lows? All the viable fits I've come up with had nowhere near similar mids to lows. Most of the viable fits I've found have 6 lows at a minimum and 3 or 4 meds. A sacrilege with an extra low slot and more launchers? Sign me up. A zealot with an extra med? Woot! (though I grant you lose 1 low for the zealot, but you gain more highs and more meds, so it's a fair trade)

I paid 2 billion for my proteus
A just bought another for my alt and it cost me less than 600mil so they are alot cheaper than they used to be but tbh apart from the warpcloaked and interdiction nullifer they don't do anything u can't do cheaper or better with something else plus a decent fit proteus looks stuiped.
In short if u want one buy it but don't expect it to be better than t2 ... where is my sig somebody stole my vid watch now

Unless you never lose a ship or you don't bother losing 4 days of training each time you get killed in it, I really don't think T3 ships are worth it pvp-wise.
pve-wise they are good. Not in every way (Tengu is probably the only one worth using in lvl3, the 3 others are not better than their CS or HAC counter-part for lvl4), but unprobable low sec missionning, WH, bubble immunity make them worth it in many situations.
