Edited by: Orion Shadowmaker on 13/01/2010 16:39:18 hey guys just want to say how great it is to be in Blue corp in the never ending war vs Red and the battle for the Teapot! -- I cant say enough about this Corp and what it does for new PVP players like myself -- In the course of a few months I have registered 145 kills and lost only 18 ships -- I have FC'd 14 engagements and came away 10 and 4 in victories, all this from a pilot who had only known limited PVP and almost 4 years of endless missions - Although I had FC'd before in deep o.o as well as countless missions and mining support - This experience by far has made me a better PVP'r and really taught me the ins and outs of quality PVP FC skills and strategies.
HU RAH to he the continueed RVB struggle! -- Come and fight with us -- doesnt matter Blue or Red we both have great leadership and incredible players to not only learn from but have a blast doing it.
Thanks Orion Shadowmaker

After trying endlessly to get my friend into small-ship PVP (he wants to save up several billion isk, that way he won't care when he loses a frigate ), I recommended to him RvB.
His response was that he was concerned that should he ever leave RvB, he'll be disenchanted from the lack of fights one would encounter in RvB, and the lack of a role of his favorite t1 ships when everyone's flying around in t2/3. (he's quite adamant at flying t1 cruisers and below only, which i can only say, 'hey... to each their own')
Any thoughts?
In either case, he's practically achieved his goal so hopefully he'll live up to his word and finally sacrifice some kestrels to the pvp altar.

but more exciting than camping stations with RR neutrals and shooting people who are going GCC to get insurance on their Apocs. 'Cos that's excitement for you right? |

Frig gangs are massive fun - I'll bet Lewis Hamilton still mucks around in a go-cart every now and again just for the lols. Fun is fun, I know internet spaceships is a very serious business but there's always room for some entertainment.

Although we love frig and Dessy fights (such great fun!) We use all types of ships - BC'sand Ceptors all types of cruisers in fact we use all types of fits as well. (Anything goes vs a war target and we are never short of those) Its the sheer amount of fights you are able to pursue that makes RVB an exceptional teaching platform for PVP. Experience trumps research every time. These two corps have been an awesome spring board for PVP players throughout Eve and will continue to be that going forward. So make the jump dont look back, good times are a coming!

yes, i want to spend 1 hour arguing with the other side because they have 2 more destroyers than we do. then i want fight but not pod the other dude.
i also want to be able to move my neutral hauler while afk.
and i NEVER want to go into zero zero cause that place is just so full of fail.
i think i'm going to sign up for the Hello Kitty Online beta while i'm at it.
(in other words, RvB has it's place in eve just like FW, Eve-Uni, miners, pirates etc etc etc... but it's not the END-ALL of gameplay, stop with the IRPWNWINSAUCE... kthnx)

I have a group of relatively new players (to pvp) and we'd like to join in without dismantling our corp. I realize that red vs blue has a policy of uniting against "third party war targets" and that's fine with us. I just don't want to upset your fun. Please let me know if you wouldn't mind some more targets to shoot (and be shot by). Strategy articles, PVP training |

You're right Pel, RVB does not cover all bases, it's good at what it does and acts as a springboard for many players who go on to other things. It was always intended as a corp that people could join for a couple of weeks now and then or leave a low sp alt in when they fancied some no hassles PVP.
But as you can see from the following, we aren't aversed to 0.0 and even the odd podding, in fact we had a little foray down there this evening where we parted this gentleman from his ship and capsule.
http://redfed.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=5559525
Then we got murdered by loads of pirates, but ignore that bit, it wasn't any fun any way!!

Well what can I say to all this back and forth (pos) and (neg) ??? The truth is War is hell but "Fun as hell too" , and yes we do get ship ups and understating of numbers but thats war -- As a great wise man once said "Hello Vietnam!" -
Guys RVB is truly a daily war that never ceases -- for all you low sec guys who may believe all the wait time in low sec is worth it - RVB is the place to be for constant action and "serious" thats right I said it FUN! -- I had all these same doubts (trust me) my brother had to beg me to come -- Wow Im so glad he did -- I love this Corp and I look forward to just logging on for the next curveball tactic or suweet strategy to win a fight. experience says it all --
look forward to seeing you guys

RvB have several war decs at any given time and another is always welcome. It's standard PVP though (podding etc) with third parties. Alternately you could all roll alts and join with them and leave your mains where they are.

RvB is fun! ECM isn't fun! Therefore ECM can not be in RvB! (Except for third party war targets like Skaara who deserves to boil in oil)
Join RvB for the following reasons:
- Learning PvP basics by actually doing it and not reading guides and then scouting low-sec for two hours only to get blobbed - Getting a chance to learn how to FC - Learn about how to fit ships good for pvp - LOT'S OF PEW PEW
Last night I logged on, 25 members in fleet, 4 battles within two hours, all with 20+ on both sides and lots of death and mayhem (fun)

Edited by: Yoshimiwa on 18/01/2010 11:51:54 Enjoyed my time there, as a returning player i didn't want to get invovled in all the hastle of POS warfare, ridiculous numbers of players clogging up a node and just general ass hattery that can be associated with 0.0 PvP these days, so it's made a very welcome change :).

Red vs Blue, isn't that supposed to be last man standing slugfest? Where you need leardership there? Or has both corporations evolved and they are actually trying to define new ways to crush their enemies or even come up with a STRATEGY?
