Since we have a load of commodities, that half of folks dont even know about, I would like to propose a new commodity, one that would be a kind of symbol of my country - Slovenian national cake called "Potica".
So CCP, will you grant me my wish? Please? I supply the pictures, info, whatever necessary, even some petition-signatures just to get my country on the map.

The reason for not adding this is that it has no use. Now obviously there are, as you stated, plenty of "useless" items in the game already that are pretty much just there for mission stuff (save exotic dancers, those are just pure entertainment).
Now what you're proposing is merely something for people to collect merely for collecting. It is also not sexy or well endowed in either a feminine or masculine manner and as such is instantly rejected as more work with no point. Which is useless.
Now what you need is:
A) Make it a sexy man or woman wrapped in said image, thus entertaining, and thus possibly acceptable (but still probably rejected as we have our sex icons, but we do need exotic male dancers for the ladies).
B) Tie it into EvE's story and give it a use. Standing gain or respect from NPCs for having in your ship's cargo hold? Possibly a token of trust for secret agents hiding in deep space or worm-hole space to expand on sleeper lore.
C) ... that's really all I've got actually
But in short, come up with a use for it other than "HEY NEW STUFF" as new stuff with no point is epic fail.

Yeah, but, no offense, what makes Slovenia so damn special that they get their own in-game item?
I mean, I'm Chinese, I think China could crush Slovenia in a second, and therefore we should get at least a module or a ship that represents China.
Of course, I don't really think China would have a reason to crush Slovenia, or any other country. I'm just trying to show you exactly why this isn't such a great idea.

I agree that Potica should be a mission item in a newly-made carrier mission as an item to be transported from A to B, maybe as a hunger relief to those opressed under Amarr rule.
It can be a "security" item, as in if a Slovenian ganks you, you jettison Potica and ganker gives you 30 seconds advantage for your recognition of respecting traditional cakes of the world.
Slovenia is safe from China `cause your maps and missiles arent precise enough to target our beautiful, tasty, albeit not so large country.

I see nothing amiss in any form in supporting sucha proposal. There are a wide multitude of ridiculous things added each day to the game overall, ranging from ridiculous items with no purpose, to players who are equally useless. At least items only use up a little bit of hangar space, instead of chewing up perfectly good bandwidth and SQL server space. :D

Why not. I mean we have "the device" and other crap, why not get something RL related ingame. Ok, since i'm also slovenian i'd like to see it ingame and that CCP grants us this wish. Bad thing is that if we make it, everyone will want something else also. Hell, why not bribe their HQ with a real thing or two :P

fair point on modules made from china, you'd reprocess them and get carbonized lead projectile ammo.
Anyways, I still don't think this is an issue that needs to be addressed until they fix fleetfight lag, etc...

1. "Noobsauce": For when your pink, tender steak needs a little something extra.
2. "Fail": The beverage of choice for highsec miners.
3. "Fail Ultra": For when "Fail" doesn't adequately say "I don't tank my Hulk, and whine about it."
4. "Troll": Mutagenic narcotic that that simultaneously randomizes your features beyond recognition and reduces your intellect and social skills to near caveman levels.
5. "GSC" brand condoms: Do I have to explain it?
6. Rubber "Chribba" halloween masks (This would be a great promo besides some stupid shuttle)
7. Tear stained EVEbank deposit slips.

While we're at it, can we have custard/cream pies also, that can be loaded into weapons as ammunition? :P
Would make for an amusing mission; to pelt some random NPC with pies.
