Me and an rl mate are toying with different ideas of what would work best for low sec and 0.0 pvp. Consider that we have basically no allies but 'plenty' skillpoints - which combination would you suggest for low sec or for 0.0? Having enough dps to take out a variety of targets while still maintaining a good survivability (run-away-ability) is important.
Fits arent that important, just ships. I'd think at least one of us should be in a cov op cloaking ship with tackling abilities, not required though.

falcon/pilgrim would be nice, or a falcon and a t2 with cloak for better dps. rapier and a SB with damps can work. arazu rapier would be okay, but they have crappy dps. cloaking is an easy way to dictate your targets. if they ever do the right thing and remove local from 0.0 then roaming recons will be even better.

Recons suggested above - Curse / Falcon / Rapier work the best...Curse finnishes first cause it deals dps too, but the Falcon has the more detrimental effect in fights...
2x Nano BCs...or a nano BC and a recon of the above...
2x Vagabonds...no more comments...or a vaga and a recon...or a nano BC...make your combos...
Vaga + Scimitar could also work...
2x RR BSs for low sec / 0.0 region gate hugging...
BS + relative Logistic...
2x rifters for lulz...2x dramiels, 2x taranis', 2x crusaders, 2x SBs...
SO MANY OPTIONS!
There is no "better", u have to adapt to the situation - for example roaming with the BS (or 2x BSs) is not good, but busting gate campers is etc...

In low sec it depends on how you want to engage targets. If you're going flash on someone at a gate you'll have to be able to gate guns. If that's the case I would suggest a pair of T3s as they can tank and still move about low sec reasonable safely.
If you're not going to have to worry about gate guns I'd say one pilot in an inty and the other in what ever DPS boat they prefer to fly. Having the inty to scout really opens up what you can bring for your second ship. It will also greatly increase your number of successful engagements. Having high scan res and mobility will get you a lot of killmails that otherwise would have gotten away. |

With this combo you got ECM, tackle and damage combined. ECM is always a nice addition, but tackle+rep+deps is also viable. It always depends what you want and what / who you face. I guess even two Scimitars would work p. well.

Rapier + Rook. Rapier to catch the target and keep it in place, Rook to jam it and apply decent dps.
