I thought this game encouraged you to pay for more then one account and I hear people talking all the time about having more then one and using them. I just signed up for a second account, not another character but a totally separate account. But when I try to logon with the second account I get this message "while we appricate your enthusiasm to play eve we would also appricate if you would limit yourself to using a single trial or subscription account.
What gives? The whole game seems designed around needing to have different characters for different jobs. I don't see how they can even know that these accounts are related or why it would not let you use them both. Did I do something wrong when I set them up?

If the second account is still in trial you won't be able to run it with your subscribed account, only multiple paid accounts can be run at the same time.

Exactly - it's designed to stop multiple trials running at the same time. I'm not sure if it's design or accident that it prevents ANY other account at the same time as a trial.
Anyway once you upgrade to a paid account the restriction goes away.

from what i remember it was done this way to stop disposable characters and making your own expendable swarm to attack other players or using the free trial to make some money before transferring all to your main before the trial ends.
Best is to give yourself a buddy invite, buy a ETC activate the trial within 14 days and get 30 extra days on your main account.
