Hi!
My toon got Caldari BS 4 and missile/shield/support skills at 4/5 so he can fly a decent raven for missions/anos/plexes. Next step for him would be the Jump Freighter so he can carry my mains stuff around quickly. Other option would be to skill towards the Golem. Is it a big time saver in anos/plexes/missis? Worth the skilling time?

A marauder is not necessarily a time-saver when it comes to actually completing missions and such. If mission speed is your concern, you'd do fine sticking with the Raven.
The advantage of a marauder is that it allows you to easily loot and salvage as you go. This means higher ISK/hour.

Don't fly a Golem myself, but when I was in my missioning phase I flew a CNR and used a Salvagecane as my dedicated salvager.
From what I've read, the Golem's tractor beam bonus makes gathering wrecks easy during missions so that even if you use a dedicated salvager it saves time.
If you do complexes and a lot of escalations that send you a number of jumps away, the Golem may be the ticket IF you are a rabid mission/plex runner and intend on doing them for awhile.
Otherwise, a CNR is cheaper, less skills needed, and on par with a Golem as far as mission running time (less salvaging, of course).

The Golem uses half the ammo (it adds up, especially if you use jav torps) is easier to fit, has a stronger tank, and all but eliminates the need for an alt accout to salvage with. It is expensive as ****, but as the top-tier mission running pimpmobile(along with the new and improved Rattlesnake) it makes up for it in isk/hr.
You cant fly BS size vessels in highsec plexes and you don't need to - you can do all of them in a well-fit cruiser. If you were planning to 0.0 explore with a Golem, please let me know which part of space you'll be in so I can join the 400 person blob that will come hunting you.
