Has anyone had a chance to see if there's been any improvements to node lag with the 1.1 patch? |

Well that aint quite true. It's still horribly bad but if you can use all those nifty little antilag tricks, you can at least fire your guns a couple times a minute, usually.
Now that AoE doomsdays are gone, big battles should be really fun, with lots of support ships zipping about hither and thither, doing tactically important stuffs... if only there were not so much lag. It's basically impossible to get a quick gank on even a small target before the remote reps come in; only brute DPS overwhelming the logistics works.
Well... maybe one day we'll get back to how things were in Apocrypha. Here's hoping.

Edited by: Hyveres on 23/01/2010 00:56:24 Gun cycle lag was horrid during the Goon/IT fight earlier today. Noticable delay for module activation when we were engaging hostiles. However the fight was not large enough to discover if anything has happened regarding grid loading issues. System peaked at 400 and dropped down to below 350 and stayed there after a bit.
From what I understood in local lag impacted both sides equally. "Subtlety is a thing for philosophy, not combat. If you're going to kill someone, you might as well kill them a whole lot." - Vulcan Raven, The Last Days Of Foxhound |

Yea lag monster is still there. Guns cycle for a while then everything locks up perma cap/mwd/point is the best though.

Yeah. Noticed a couple things. 1. The new fleet window lags me out really badly, until i change to broadcast page. 2. Guns went red and didn't change off like they should. I even turned them off, the target died, then i got jammed, and it didn't turn off. 3. Drones were switching fine, but i doubt they were hitting much. 4. Lag is worse than it was before dominion.
CCP please fix the lag so we can play your game. I don't want a new ship i might fly i want to be able to play all together. -----

lag has become worse.. had to reload weapons and they finally did >5min later while i was "shooting" and the guns were cycling red. with all of this crap piled up, needless to say i wasn't able to shoot anything for the next 20 minutes. 2 of 5 drones were launched after >1.5h of battle.
just be the first in system. you don't have that much trouble if you're up on the list of present entities. quite evident when looking at whose killmails get generated and whose don't - or are crippled. - putting the gist back into logistics |

Well TBH, For me personally it is taking the fun out of an otherwise great game. Up tot the level where I don't feel like playing anymore. Kinda weird as before the dominion patch I was even thinking out strategies and shipfits while at work and stuff lol. I have made a lot of friends playing this game. But I just don't feel like going on fights anymore while that was my primary drive. Any of my corpies can back that up.
ATM I'm letting my accounts expire.I'm just logging in to chat with the corp and alliance members while I'm arranging the training skills for the remainder of the account times.
Once they run out I'll be monitoring the boards and as soon as certain items have been succesfully tackled by the dev team I'll definetly consider coming back. It's just no use paying for a game that isn't fun anymore due to development issues.
That's how I stand on the matter. Good hunting to all!! "comrades in arms know the meaning of true friendship". |

Here is my analysis and proposal, enriched by some speculation/thoughts that come from some of the replies in the thread.
This proposal could fix lag once for all and add more strategic depth to sov warfare, forcing attackers and defenders to split their forces over many systems, thus reducing lag.
