Funny how it wasn't obvious for you that this will happen.
Do you also go into a shop for computer parts,
buy the new and overpriced stuff
and then complain a month later because it's worth only half anymore ?

You have the same value as everybody else. None.
You bought it for reasons you probably don't even understand yourself
and now you're complaining about not being part of a small "special" group anymore.

Because he bought it for a reason, obviously.
It's not about the money. The money was only the means to get what he wanted.
What he wanted was an unique/rare item.
Unique/rare items make people "special".
Now, of course, he complains about all the money he dropped onto something that made him "special",
because obviously he wouldn't complain about not being "special" anymore.
