As Snorlax said, we're investigating. It would really help if people experiencing this issue told us how many clients they're running, how much RAM they have and what type of video card. Either as a reply to this post or in a bugreport.

Hi, the fix I was referring to is currently on Singularity. If any of you have time, we'd really appreciate it if you could see if this build resolves your issue. The fix concerns persistence of settings, something that this fine thread clued us into. Given that, please keep a careful eye out for saving of client settings, including window layout, etc. Thanks for your patience in this matter
Instructions for connecting to the Singularity Test Server can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity |

Could you please send a bugreport through the ingame bugreporting tool at F12 from Singularity, while this issue is happening? Please include a screenshot of your client, with open fps monitor (ctrl+f) and client monitor (ctrl+alt+shift+m).

We've tracked down a likely culprit and are working on a fix. Sometimes seemingly innocent changes in low-level rendering code can have unforeseen side effects.
We'll try to get a fix out on Sisi as soon as possible so that we can verify we've really figured it out this time. |

Hi!
Our test-server Singularity was just updated with a patch for these performance problems. We found some issues in our rendering code, which caused the GPU being flooded with very small requests. This has been fixed now on Singularity and we assume that this will solve the performance problems or at least reduce them a lot.
It would be awesome if you could help us by testing this on Singularity, as we have still trouble with reproducing the issue reliably in-house. Please report back here, if it worked for you, or if you client is still totally slow. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Ninjas InTheNight wrote:If the patch this unscheduled downtime was supposed to fix it, it didn't.
The fix is currently only on SIngularity, the unscheduled downtime on TQ did not include it. We hope to be able to bring the fix to TQ with the next patch, assuming that we find no problems with it. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

Great to hear the issue is fixed for at least some people. We suspect there are still cases of slowdown out there in the wild so we'd appreciate continued reporting of those happening to help us track down the issue. |

We have deployed one fix to TQ today to address the ongoing rendering performance issues players are experiencing. Based on our testing on Singularity, many players have experienced improvements but this is not a conclusive fix and we are continuing to investigate.
If you are still having performance problems after today's patch, please tell us about it here. Alternatively you can submit a bug report through the in-game bug reporting tool (F12), this will capture useful diagnostic information about your system. Based on the feedback in this thread, we've discovered another issue where non-cached icon rendering is causing FPS drops on device reset (docking/undocking, jumping, alt-tabbing, resizing and toggling windowed/full screen).
We are working on a fix. Associate Technical Producer - Foundation Technology |

The latest changes (fix for Anti-aliasing and writing settings) are on Singularity now. It would be awesome, if you could try them out and report back in this thread.
For further reports about problems: Please give us information about your video card and your video settings to make it a bit easier to see any trends. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock Writing bug reports | Mass tests

i tried some different setup from the nvidia control panel but nothing, after some time with only ONE client open all goes slowdown (WM aero included). I tried also the beta driver, but the max time before the slowdown is 20 minutes!
With all other games there are no problems, please fix this issue soon, i play eve from 3 years and now i'm in delve for the war!!! Is a ******* stress that i can't log in because eve for me just now is unplayable
Could you please send a bugreport with as many details as possible? If you already sent one, then please reply with the id of it. Is it possible to send an ingame bugreport after the slowdown started, or is it too bad at this point? Getting any kind of logs (either through the ingame bugreporting or through logserver.exe) would be very important. A screenshot (best with open fps monitor and client monitor (ctrl+alt+shift+m)) and your detailed video settings would also be very interesting. H3ndrix wrote:This is getting ******** now, having to restart the client after every 9-10 jumps or so as memory usage is upwards of 1.5gb and rising with every session change plus fps rates are all over the place, either deploy the fix thats on sisi or rollback the damn server, or are you going to replace every loss incured because of this ****** patch
Please try running with the LogServer and file a bug report, attaching the log. Put my name in the header of the bug report so it gets to me quicker and I'll take a look. We have not seen memory leaks of this nature inhouse, so I'm curious to see logs from your sessions. |

I am seeing the main problem still on TQ. It acts like a memory leak to me--progressive through various session changes in the game. I am however seeing it fixed in SISI. I simultaneously auto-piloted four accounts last night 30 jumps on sisi and the problem did not manifest. I did notice on SISI that the hanger graphic/animation freezes on dock up. Basically the ship wont spin but everything else works just fine including right clicking your ship. Its just wierd not seeing your ship spin and makes me think internet spaceships are not real and I should go get some exercise or spend time with my friends lol. If you need a bug report on TQ for the main problem, and or on Sisi on the ship spin problem I can do it. Do you need these? While I appreciate the vigor in which you are personally putting to resolve this issue, I'd suggest that CCP invest time and people in fast, easy, and idiot proof tools for customers to report bugs if CCP is going to rely so heavily on them for QA. The instructions look easy enough but between replicating the problem, using the log server, reading all instructions, and filling out the bug form, its going to take an hour out of my time which frankly is a bit much for a product I pay for. Thanks, Seb Please, no crazy talk, Internet spaceships are serious business! You don't need friends or exercise...
I'll see if we can repro the ship spin problem - I'll get back to you if I need more information - don't worry about the formal bug report.
Point taken on the tools - I agree, this is something we need to improve. |

You do realize we have more people working at CCP? Don't worry, we can investigate more than issue at a time :) |

Yes, we have a fix now out on TQ. We're still keeping an eye out for more issues, but the latest fix should address the most severe cause of slowdown. |

But are you implying that you know of other perhaps less severe issues and this remediation is ongoing? I'm just saying I'm not confident enough to claim that this fix addresses all slowdown issues. If players or our metrics indicate there are still issues we'll continue to track them down. |
