so i entered this system today, raven on scan but he logged immediately. i probed him within the 2 minutes of NPC aggro and applied aggro but ofc couldn't kill him before plopping. he logged back in within 15 minutes. however, now he does the thing where he logs in and then off every time he has started warping. i keep probing but every time i find him (decelerating).
here's an excerpt:
[ 2010.01.25 15:32:55 ] (notify) Interference from the warp Barruk is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on them. // i probe again [ 2010.01.25 15:35:38 ] (notify) Interference from the warp you are doing is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on Barruk. [ 2010.01.25 15:35:39 ] (notify) Interference from the warp Barruk is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on them. [ 2010.01.25 15:35:39 ] (notify) Interference from the warp Barruk is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on them. // i keep spamming but this goes on for 38 seconds: [ 2010.01.25 15:36:17 ] (notify) Interference from the warp Barruk is preventing your sensors from getting a target lock on them.
this happened about 20 times more often. so what to do...? i'm already ****ed macro ravens got a break when they increased probe-reconnect-cooldown from 3 to 5 minutes for no apparent reason. i gimped my fitting to enable the expanded probe launcher but looks like it's worthless. - putting the gist back into logistics |

When you can prove he quit game instead of disconnected or dropped from the game then they can do something.

Fit a smartbomb on your probe ship. He's going to be within 1 million KM after his emergency warp, so you know where to place the probes. Add his name to your address book. As soon as he logs on, start scanning with probes already in position. You don't need to lock him to hit him with a smartbomb. If you can get him before he logs off, the aggro timer will keep his ship in space for 15 minutes.
Now, I can't personally confirm this next part, but I've heard it works like this. If he's logged before you hit him, but you get the smartbomb on him before his ship vanishes, it might start the aggro timer but not count until he logs in again. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

logging on and off of eve isn't an exploit though.

Logging in a same-account alt to make the main disregard aggro timers is though. Sounds like this may be what they're doing. ___________________________ Swartans! Tonight we dine in Hek! |

if you log on and off real quick while still in a safespot you do a slowwarp were the ship gose normal speed but is in warp(all the things that go along with it), has the inertia of a titan the only thing u can do is wait for it to slow down sadly this take like 3 min.

Fit an ecm burst, warp to the guy, run the burst. It's much easier fittingwise than smartbomb and aggros people just fine. Then if he logs in again within 15 minutes he has aggro and is yours. ---

Does that work? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't and it looks like pure genius to me.

Has been written about numerous times by people who tried to catch logoffskiing freighters (BoB ones etc.) for example. Sounded like it works.

i said he already had the 15 min aggro. he then logged in every time he was still gliding out of warp and logged off as soon has his warp-back had started. during this time i was sitting next to him but he's unlockable during the entire process. - putting the gist back into logistics |
