Whine all you want but to claim you are facing greater difficulties than BoB did back then is laughable.
I disagree, BoB got sov back in all their systems when they formed Kenzoku, so they were still able to dock and get their ships and form proper fleets to defend, just lost their cynojammers.
Goons on the other hand, cannot dock again or get their caps/ships out to properly defend before 24 hours has even passed. Goons are far more ****ed, which is, hilarious.
Bob lost all defenses in every single system they had, jb's, cj's ect. Goons have only lost 25% of their territory, meaning they still have full defense capabilities and jb networks in a vast majority of their space. If they're stupid enough to keep all their **** in 1 system after seeing how well that worked out for BoB in PR then that's noones fault but their own.
Sov works a little bit differently now (notice, we can lose many stations in less than 24 hours, this was literally impossible under the old system).

When BoB lost sov it was 100% and would have taken a week to get cynojammer protection back and jump bridges up again. Also would have been a minimum 23 hours to get basic sov back again. With the alliance gone standings would be shot and other problems would be confounding things.
Now Goons lost sov... it was not entire regions - go look at the maps. It was 10-15% tops. It was also ONLY one corporation within the alliance, and occurred at exactly 60 days from dominion. Thats 2 bill cycles afaik.
With the new sov mechanics, it takes the TCUs 8 hours to online, upgrade levels don't decay immediately, so JBs and cynojammers could be back up in under a day.
BoB lost 100% coverage for a week, and their enemies knew it was coming.
Goons lost 15% coverage for 8 hours, and no-one knew it was coming.
The two events are barely comparable.
At least you are right about the last bit. The point of the matter is, when BoB's sov dropped, they retained control over all their assets and stations. Within a few hours, IT could take stations and sov, without so much as a single pos to blow up first (we blew up over 500 to take delve, if you recall).
