Kinda screwed up what I thought would have been the gooniest way to end delve III, goons leave. But with the loss of systems initiating their withdrawal it just doesn't have the same zing to it. -- my sig got nerfed again, csm thread to get forum sig limitations lifted a bit

If you actually bothered to listen to the recording, you'd know that the reason to pull out was instigated by the fact that we lost our staging stations in less than 24 hours. Even though we have a majority of actual stations (something like 30 as opposed to what was once 42), the space that they occupy is terrible. We have no market hub, no jump network, and our cap fleet was largely locked down. If we defended, it would be doing so over a large area of poorly laid out space with diminished resources, solo, against multiple alliances. Because of the nature of sov mechanics right now, reclaiming what we had would be extremely difficult, and who knows how long it's going to be before CCP makes the necessary changes. So, rather than commit to weeks or months of grinding attrition in a steadily worsening battle, Goons decided to cut their losses. This is basic strategy. How this goes over your head, I don't even know.

Sorry Tri, you'll have to slip back into irrelevance for a 10th time. Honestly, the idea of fighting Tri/Atlas is probably more interesting than staying in Delve and having IT/AAA avoid us in fleet fights every single day.
