That you can't offline silo's to empty them
This is the apostrophe police - you're arrested for violation of apostrophe rights.

LOL
Seriously though, CCP, Do you even test this stuff before you load it up?
o do shut up ...
If you had notion of how programming and mass testing works you would not say these kind of moronic things
at least it shows the testing was not mapped correctly and automated testing of basic functionalities has not been done.
And i have been managing software testing for some years...

In my federally regulated industry, every system, down to the end-user desktop environment has to be "validated". The process of validation is tedious, costly, and resource consuming at every level of the business. Our last upgrade that included migrating our database from 10g to 11, required that we had a dozen testers working for 3 weeks straight on testings scripts that included over 500,000 steps EACH. Every single iteration of the software requires testing, and each step must be DOCUMENTED by the FDA.
Is it required that CCP go through such steps? No, absolutely not. We deal with data that impacts the lives of people and their health. CCP is just dealing with a game. However, if CCP began to treat its software in a similar fashion as we treat our database, then perhaps more of these errors could be flushed out ahead of time.

I get the feeling more and more recently that ccp are pulling the highly experienced developers over to the WOD project, and subsequently eve is left with the less experienced staff.

I think we found your problem. Come talk to us again when you finally get a clue or if you desire advice for how you can stop mismanaging your employees.

Yes I too am willing to pay $50-100/month so that CCP can go through that level of testing for every single patch. QA at that level is EXTREMELY expensive and makes for EXTREMELY slow development.
And, even still it doesn't even always work.

Or perhaps they'd just go broke and shut down.

Could also be they're trying to fix the issues with the lower layers of their system, and changing that stuff tends to create a lot of random side-effects.
