Repair drones are the tools used to repair allies, friends and others when you dont have a Remote Repair tool equipped into your high slot. Think of a remote repair drone, and any other drones as tools to be used EXTERNALLY to fix a friendly in the repair armour and shields way or to Pew Pew / Bang Bang / ECM Jam etc way. If you want to repair yourself, you will need to equip an item INTERNALLY onto your shield. And overall, if you can fit repair drones, more power to ya as logistics i alsways nice in a gang :) M

My bad terminology I'm afraid, 'target' should have been 'lock'. As far as I know you have to have locked a drone in order to repair it. Sorry.

I didnt actually realise what I had done until I noticed his armour was going up instead of down. Doh! I tend not to carry rep drones anymore.

Now that's funny - I'd heard of people doing similar things to NPCs and getting concorded, but it would be highly amusing to get repaired by your opponent. As a side note - I assume you use drone groups? I label mine very clearly "Medium Thermal", "LR Sentries", "Medium Repair", "Heavy DPS", etc. I find this better than drone names as I look for what I want them to do. Long Range Sentries are easy to find in my system, rather than having to remember Garde IIs are better for range. ______________________ Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University.

Thats the thing, I always use drone groups but I was in a state of panic at the time and wasnt really paying attention. I was in a sniper BS gang vs a similar sized gang of WT's (Factional Warfare) when a large BS heavy pirate gang warped in and started killing everyone on the field. Everyone in my fleet managed to warp out apart from me (thanks to the annoying Intie) so Im sat there helpless as I watch a load of flashy red BS's slowboating it towards me. Thankfully the cavalry arrived just as I was going into structure and I managed to get out. I would've got out earlier if I hadnt decided to start repping the enemy.
