Judicator	Posted - 2004.11.24 21:50:00 - [35] Use the damn torrent! I downloaded the entire client yesterday but decided to try the torrent to see how fast it was. After leaving it running for about 5 minutes I had a DL speed of 100 kb/sec and upload of 60 kb/sec. Had I left it running I would most likely have gone much higher on both upload and download. The torrent is working just fine and it is fast. -------------------------

Use a software based firewall instead, like ZoneAlarm and allow the torrent client full acces. Router/Firewalls have a tendancy to prevent it from working correctly. Also, as long as your computer is sufficiently patched and you are running a software firewall you should be just fine security wise. -------------------------
