What happened to NPC sold ORE BPO's? Weren't Covetor BPO's sold in NPC stations in Outer Ring? Now when I check EVE Central, it tells me there are only 4 active sell orders. Did I miss something? What gives?

Edited by: Cerlestes on 31/01/2010 17:28:53 Eve-Central just doesnt have those Outer Ring market orders in its database. It is fed by user uploads, so it can't show every order.
Of course, you still can buy them in the Outer Ring region.

The real trick is...
Getting there, buying them (billions of ISK apiece), and getting back to safe space intact.
Someone have a solution to that, you let me know! |

If your to chicken **** to covops all the way out then i guess: - go up there, find station that sells. probe out wormhole to empire, scoop bpo, enter wormhole, win!

The ISK I won't help you with
For getting the BPOs back to highsec I would imagine that something involving 4-5 covops/stealth bombers, a black ops and maybe a blockade runner (for extra fuel) would be a good way to go about it. Implementation is left as an exercise for the reader.

Since you'll find these BPOs with minimal surcharge at Jita - surcharge you can make with 2-3 hours of missioning), you are just better to buy these.

I would say using a carrier sounds like the logical thing to do, cant get much safer than a cyno into dockingrange of a station.

I allways used 2 chars in a regular shuttle for this and worked quite well.Got taken down once out of the 25+ times i did it.
They used to bring in a hell of a nice profit when sold unresearched till a year back.
The covetor bpo's sold for between 200 to 600 mille profit a piece back then.Sure it was a risk but i never earned so much isk in such s short time span and come on the rush you get from having such an expensive bpo onboard and not knowing what can/will come on your way is better then pvp itself .

You are so true!
The only times it has been "scarier" were when my corp organized low sec and 0.0 freighter trains to relocate home. Sure, there was a 40-60 BS fleet to protect them but just the thought of the innominable values you could lose if they'd get hot dropped popped made the 2B BPOs pale. Plus it's definitely more hair-raising to sit in a freighter and warp into a new system than being in a cov ops or shuttle :D

Getting a BPO back to empire is pretty simple with little risk as long as people use their common sense and use patience. Covert Ops to carry the BPO and a Stealth Bomber to scout and to get rid of any lonesome bubbles if you were to find any along the way. Scout ahead with the bomber and if you see anyone on the gate just wait for them to move away, could be a very long journey but worth it to get the print out safely. Or you could do as previously mentioned and just buy it off the empire market for a small markup and let someone else do the work. ------

Back in my day we used to have these things called scouts, in those times I used a punisher to move ORE BPO's to empire.

Now imagine you had 2 covetor bpo's and got them safely to empire. Then you need to go to the toilet and instead of docking -wich would be SMART - you think :"Meh , a minute autopilot in a shuttle won't hurt me " , then when you come back you are in a pod.
Definition by most pvpers of a carebear:Someone who doesn't participate in pvp or lives in 0.0 mostly because they can't handle a loss. Now given the above i shrugged it off and did 5 new trips the week later to make up for it yet i have heard the same pvpers cry/yell/curse when they lost their fully insured battleship in fight.
Welcome to my carebearworld .

I used to make the run quite often in a covops when the bpo resell margins were higher in empire and I'm pretty much an empire dweller. A bit of common sense and it's not really a problem.

The shuttle thing happened to me too. I was in FW at the time, I thought "well, it's 1 minute of shuttle autopilot while I go toilet and I am 10 systems inside my faction, what can happen".
I come back and find myself in a station. Podded by someone who managed to slip in a *battleship* so far in.
