I've just made a new alt however i now have no idea what to do with him, my original thoughts were to make him a hulk pilot / production alt or maybe a drone mission runner.
I want the alt to be able to bring in a decent income with not alot of work and also to be able to achieve a good sale price if i decide i don't need him.
I already have someone doing r&d and i know nothing about trading so those two are out of the picture.

Drone boat lvl 4 mission runner.
Ishtar/Domi/Gila all fill this role greatly.

If you don't have a purpose in mind, you really shouldn't have made an alt.

I second that.
Generally having alt => specializing to things your main won't / can't do and thus support your main ==> having clear view helps a lot (insert it to evemon). No half trained skill trees because I wanted to do that but in the end I needed this for the FOTM resulting messed up no good jack of all trades master of none.
I have pew pew dude with all flavours and second account runs my logistics, probing & scouting, can fly some lil & not so small ships my main wont bother with. Might evolve to industry side after one or two skills finish training...  |

Train him to do something very specialized, for example freighter to 5 to carry Dreads/Supercaps packaged or any other very specialized role.
Take a look at the character buying page to see what people are looking for.
then sell the toon and use the isk to either buy a toon you want to try/use like a pure pvp toon or keep the isk for ships and such for your main.

Not true. Make and alt, and spend the first month on learning and core skills while you figure out what you want to do with it.
All you need is a desire for an alt, not a specific job in mind.
