Yes... It's inspired by EVE so much, GoonSwarm is even there.

I preordered, I recommend this game for team players, not people who solo everything (even though it's possible, it can just get boring after awhile) ________________________________________________ My Music "Commander-Shepard?" |

The allaince vs allaince which gives access to territory which gives access to special resources and tech is pay per month model. However you can skip that and get to max level without paying, most of the time however you wont get to enjoy most of the things avialable to allaince players. Okay, looking at gameplay, would I be right in saying it's essentially TF2 + Tribes + MMO Gimmick?

PVE is pertty damned weak in this game though however it wasnt designed to cater to them, the game just launched so there isnt alot of gear in it yet or any alterations and the sort. meat of the game is in pvp which you can enjoy some of as a merc, but you cannot take part of conquest.
Oh btw goons own about 5% of all conquerable places and growing. Pre-order your Sisters of ≡v≡ Exploration ship today, Updated 27JAN10

Short answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I wrote a review on gamespot. I'm not linking it to 'plug' my rantings, but in hopes that it will serve helpful to people like you. The TDLR version of it: Don't buy it or you'll feel sorry.
Global Agenda review via Gamespot.com: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/globalagenda/player_review.html?id=706466&tag=all-about;review1
I've tried to cover all of the parts of the game a bit and explain why one should or shouldn't buy it, I hope it gives you the information you need.

I think its a decent start to the game. Looks like they've put alot of work in to it. I particularly like the co-op style PVE bringing together different players to achieve goals. The classes i think work well distinct in their abilities. I read the gamespot review posted earlier and that does seem very pessimistic about the game and unduely puts players off. Its been hyped up given decent reviews and then people get disappointed when it doesn't have everything they want. They burn through content and give up on it. For a newly released game i find it fun and that to me is all that counts. Doesn't really feel too grindy its more akin to what quake live is but better polished and the persistant elements if you want to subscribe.

It's a pretty honest review that truthfully depicts the good and the bad.
There's potential for the game, it's just not worth $50. You can buy a lot of better games for under $20.
